There simply are not enough post-“Nemesis” fics out there but yours is by far one of the best. You do great work at delving into both of their mindsets in relation to this ep and the comparison between the Kradin-Vori conflict and the Maquis situation is well done without getting info-dumpy or overly wordy. Chakotay was down there by chance but I’m betting that the Vori somehow got a look into his head and used that to their advantage in their brainwashing. Kathryn’s gentle understanding is so like her; she encourages him to vent but does not push and allows him to unburden himself at his own pace. And I LOVED the transition from comfort to passion – beyond beautiful and fitting to J/C in so many ways.

Well done, adding to favorites.

I love this story. I recently watched the episode Nemesis again, and afterwards went looking for a good coda fic. I couldn't find anything that really dealt with the issues that Chakotay was facing, or only briefly. Until now. This is really what I want to see after that episode. Beautifully written.
