This was fantastic, and so adorably IC. Personally, I couldn't imagine Charming being any less overprotective of his strong-willed and pregnant wife, especially as it is their first child. Requesting special and ludicrously expensive ingredients, scaring the poor staff half to death… It's all just so typical of Charming, and I could totally see it driving Snow crazy, but I could also see her being touched by it at the same time. Interesting that Snow could so easily keep a secret… There's been some debate in the fandom about that. I think my favourite part of the story was the way the entire kingdom views the Charmings. They are all captivated by there legendary tales of battle, adversity, and unfathomable love, and even without Charming's scare tactics, they would all do anything they could to take care of the beloved royal family. This was an absolute joy to read. Thank you for sharing.

This was so cute, and so typical of Snowing.

I really love the fact that you mentioned that Snow COULD keep a secret. (I assume you're referring to the secret about Charming's humble heritage? That's the way I prefer it, although the show is contradictory about whether they ever told anyone.) There's a popular fanon theory that adult Snow is unable to keep a secret, and I don't like that idea at all. Just because she told a secret that Cora manipulated out of her as child, she can't keep one as an adult? That's never made sense to me.

And I like how you have Snow explain to Charming that they can't be prepared for ALL her cravings, as well. The myth in this world is that the husband is supposed to supply the wife with all her pregnancy cravings she could ever want as soon as she mentions them. It's a nice dream, and good husbands do their best, but from my experience, it just isn't possible. Some cravings were things I was unable to eat, some of them were too expensive, and some just weren't available at that time of night, because the stores were all closed.

This was so cute! Loved protective!charming and laughed off with pregnant hormonal Snow, and little princess Emma... the cutest!
