I'm sorry it's taking me so long to respond. I reread your story and I've really enjoyed many aspects of it. In particular, I think you've done a good job with Daniel and put a lot of thought into how a child raised by Vlad and Maddie might act. It leaves a lot to speculate on for further chapters. I also like how you show that Danny is not just sailing through his adventures unscathed as he seems to do in the show. You bring up a lot of serious considerations.

Nice update. Really enjoy your alternate take on what might happen.

Anyways, I also saw the Walker thing on the wiki, but no one I've talked to can confirm nor refute it. My guess is some user added it on a whim to see if it stuck or not.

And ooh, Secret Trio. Sounds like it could be fun.

Wow. I did not expect the whole Daniel crossing into the original timeline thing. That's going to be interesting.
Lol. I know what you mean about the DP time line being a total mess. They have Summer Vacation episodes twice, but keep referring to Danny as a freshman, and directly after one of these episodes Valarie has a calander that says it is May, which is completely nonsensical. Personally, I fix it by putting the Portal Accident in April, it's simpler, but of course that has its own set of problems, starting most importantly with Danny ending his eight grade year with his powers, which doesn't make a lot of sense at all. For such a thought out story as yours, obviously my ten second fix won't help much. I like yours a lot better. ;-)

Neat concept.

I'll probably be the odd man out saying this, but I don't think doing a POV for you OC will ever being necessary. I find it more interesting finding out about Daniel through what Danny sees instead of you just blatantly telling us. It's the whole principle of 'show don't tell'. That's not to say Daniel isn't a good character, because he is, I just don't find his view being the focus of a chapter to really be necessary.

Just an idea, make Daniel clocky's assistant. Either way, I'd read an oc pov.

I don't mind OC POV at all. So good for it.

You shouldn't feel guilty about not replying to us; most author's don't anyway. Also, about the reviews brings more people thing, I find that when I'm looking for a good story, I look at the follows and favorites and how close those two numbers are to each other. 'Cause if there's a bunch of follows but practically no favorites, it's fair to assume the idea is good but the execution isn't done well; if they're close together or even EQUAL, then it's fair to assume it's pretty dang good in the eyes of most people reading. The reviews could mean any number of things - that the author sounds insecure in their A/Ns, that the people reviewing are friends of the author... There was this one time I met someone on here who had TONS of reviews, but barely any followers in comparison. When I looked at their reviews, I realized most of them weren't toward the story, but speaking to the author herself like they were all buddies; she was befriending EVERYONE who reviewed, making them feel obligated to do so with every chapter. Heck, she did it with me for a while, and she'd done so by reviewing MY story, trying to befriend me, then asking me to read hers. Which all ties into the first thing: Don't feel bad about not replying. It can make review numbers dishonest in the case of many reviewers. (Not me of course; I review because I have 100 viewers on every chapter in my story and the latest one only got two reviews.)

Anyway, sorry this was so long when barely any of it was about the chapter. o-o' *looks back up at it* ...Aaaah, I need to see Danny talking about it to his friends! O-O I NEED IT. But I shall be patient. *nod*

Typical of course Danny would feel grief and sorrow, the guy has a big heart and I think sooner or later he'll pour everything out to Jazz.

Really liked this chapter, it was extremely interesting and climactic. Every time something new happened I got pretty excited to see what it would lead to. Overall I think your characterization is pretty spot on, there is one thing bothering me, though. What happened to all of Danny's doubt and moral scruples about erasing Daniel from the timeline? It seemed to me that he was pretty hung up on it last chapter, but unexpectedly nonchalant about it here. He knows the consequences, and he knows now that his mom doesn't even want to reverse the mistake anymore because of her son, and Danny's still flying off the Clockwork's to do it without, it seems, much doubt despite the moral argument that's been pretty central to his adventure here so far.
Anyway, great story, can't wait for more.
