And well since you at least saw the first you know I loved everything in this story (and the hamster idea was delightful) ! Thank you !

I loved this one shot... Jane's face at Rigsby and Van Pelt's wedding was heartbreaking in that episode like he couldn't handle all the feels and it reminded me a conversation he had with Lisbon something like "you re jealous of them because you wonder why everyone else get to have a normal life and be happy" and it's the same thought I think that get you to write this wonderful one shot.

How you voiced Jane's feelings (in vino veritas) was really believable, you could see the desperation, the frustration and the craving for a possibility of a normal and romantic moment (even if the ducks were in no cooperation mode) with Lisbon :'(
And Lisbon, how she didn't want to be played, did want it to be possible and real, equally frustrated by their impasse... And how Jane's daydream about marrying her one day touched her more than she thought...

I'm glad you made them kiss (and that Lisbon initiated it) and the silly wanting to stay there forever with a shield-hamster (I reaaaalllly appreciated that idea, I even laughed in front of my computer)

So I loved your one shot, thank you !

I loved re-reading this, you've superb talent of pulling both the readers and Lisbon's heart strings by the way you write Jane.
It got me thinking, what wouldn't have happened when Jane comes back from South America? Would he have kept his promise, would've Lisbon? Maybe they both didn't or weren't fast enough and Pike appears. Basically, I'm hoping for a part two because this one was just so good. Pretty please!
