Wow, I think this is one of the most spot-on characterizations of simply all of the characters (Even Leon’s where he didn’t know where Merlin was from but was quite sure he’d told it once) I’ve every read. I love the plot and realism of Merlin’s state and mind during the “interrogation” dealing with the actions inflicted upon him. Very subjective POVs and details (and left out details when fit for the character and mind) and I felt that you weren’t lost at any time in the plot or as to whom was telling the story now. Not a too dragged out climax or ending as people tend to write, so excellent job!
I really loved the sweet character twist during the scene with Merlin falling out of the bed (HAH! No spoilers for anyone!)

The Uther interaction at the end was hilarious! XD

This was absolutely amazing! It’s kind of fitting that I found this cause my sister and I watched this episode this past night as we’re rewatching the series. I loved it!

I have read many different rewrites of this episode, and this fic by far is the closest how I imagine that episode to go if it went a different route. Most days, I find myself wishing the show had a higher rating so it could be more intense with things like this. This fic had me crying at certain points, i didn't even realize it until I felt something wet on my cheek. Brilliant writing!

Have to say, this was quite the read.
Loved the suspense and tension you crafted into the story whilst managing to maintain the cannon personalities of the characters. Good stuff but Damon, thought Merlin might actually die there for a bit.
