It was okay. I laughed a few times where I wasn't supposed to but overall it was fine. MOst of the earlier chatpers seemed a little boring; it was more like you were telling me what was happening instead of describing it. It got a bit better toward the end though.

I loved that adapted Night before Christmas poem you did, It was awesome. I don't think Lily would have given in so easily, and it would have been nice if you had shown us Lily having fun rather than just telling us. You know you occasionally miss out words or letters when you're writing.

I may be misunderstanding something, but in the last paragraph of chapter four you should probably change the librarian's name, as Madam Pomfrey is the school nurse.

This seems well written, but you have some spelling errors. Dumbledore needs an e on the end, the hospital is St. Mungos, and Gryffindor is spelled incorrectly as well. I never thought about skipping grades at Hogwarts, I guess I just assumed that the classes were challenging enough. Oh well, good job anyways.
