I knew it was coming up as soon as you said you had a plan for him. All told, he had a good death, and when it's just sofia and the kids, I can deal with it, but when it involves all these people, and you saved Desmond and Haythem, it hits me harder. In my mind, Desmond has looked up to all of his ancestors, and because of how old Ezio was, and Desmonds issues with his own father, Ezio was a positive role model and at least mentor figure to him. To only give them a couple years on desmods end, even if he has the others, hurts, because it leaves desmond with this gaping hole he doesnt know what to do with. I will admit, it knew Ezio didnt have much time left, but I always kinda hope people can live together, and not leave others behind.

Vampire-Badger, you wrote "bittersweet and sad" perfectly. We, as the audience, bonded with Ezio and felt his death as keenly as the people in this story. It's just that everyone reacts differently to loss.

I’m actually reading this while playing Odyssey and I had the craziest idea: what if Layla (the latest animus user of Odyssey and origins) had Bayek, Aya AND Kassandra in her head? I’d pick Kassandra cause that’s canon in terms of the books. Plus there’s not enough playable female assassins.

Hey, so there has now been... three new AC games since you wrote this. I see you've already written a few fanfics on AC Origins. Is there any chance we will be seeing this wonder become a trilogy? Because honestly, this whole story has been a part of my childhood. I make it a point to reread it all whenever my mood is down; it is that good. Whatever you have planned, I wanted to thank you for the memories. You are what every fanfiction should 'embody'. Heh, get it.

I really enjoyed this series. I looked for the side stories you mentioned in the end of the notes, sad that I can't find them. I hope you start up those side stories some day.
