It was more of a bitter sweet ending but it's more realistic. It was too bad she never knew he was still alive after all these years and it showed how much she loved him but had to move on with her life.

My box of tissues is significantly lighter now. I'm so heartbroken they didn't get a happily ever after but it was never meant to be. I'm so glad she had a good life, though. I'm not sure you ever get over a first love. This was a great story.

This was a great ending chapter. I was hoping that she would still be alive, but the fact that she isn't has a sense of closure. Steve helped fuel her success and that was very touching and the fact that she made a story with him in it and didn't publish it is super touching. Your author's note at the end was perfect and I can totally picture him as Eddie Redmayne! I loved this story and am very sad to see it end. Maybe you can write another Steve story sometime in the future?
