*annoyed huff* okkkkkk, I KNOW the guy was DRUNK and everything, but what DUMBASS shoots off ANY kind of gun without warning people that it's not a weapon or that they mean no harm?! This was a nicely nuanced story. I love that Pepper, Happy and Rhodey all fumbled while trying to deal with Tony's panic attack, trying to protect him and avoid his triggers while still trying to help. I love that it was awkward for everyone involved and that nobody really knew what to do. And I freaking love that Rhodey was the one who handled it. I don't see very many "Tony tells Rhodey what happened in Afghanistan" stories, and I didn't realize it was a need in my life until I read this. Great job.

Powerful and quite devastating one-shot. My heart ached for Tony here; to be suffering from internal struggles whilst the world keeps on celebrating, ugh.

I really loved your Rhodey in here - he's the only out of the three who'd knew how to handle a situation like this. Looking forward to reading lots more from you in 2015 - and of course a very happy new year to you!
