You were very nice to Hermione. Actually, as a first year, she worshipped Dumbledore. That was why she was sorted to Gryffindor rather than Ravenclaw because she wanted to be in the old house of Dumbledork.

Stupid Lily. She knew of James enmity towards Snape, the Death Eater, who once called her a mudblood. And what did she do? She named one of her child, Harry Severus Potter. Incredibly stupid.

Weasley is a moron, he was in canon and you have shown him to be no different here... if your Harry thinks differently then I guess he's a moron as well.

Why were Potter and Weasley even in the bathroom in the first place? How did they know either Hermione or the Troll would be there? Ron had to be dragged along in canon and I can't see Ben wanting to help a Gryfindor, especially not one of Harry's friends, He'd want the attention fighting the troll would give him, but how did he know where to find it? Quirrell said it was in the dungeon, nowhere near where Hermione was, also how did Ben get out of the Hell without being seen given all the other Slytherins had to stay in the Hall?

Also, Luna is a year younger than Harry and Co...

i think this story has its merits, and i do enjoy it. you are right about the beginning, but that's what rewrites are about. i think you should post what you already have written on this story and have an announcement that you are currently reworking the story into something different. in the end, what you write about is entirely up to you and a little thing like popular opinion isn't gonna change what you feel inspired to write. i say go for it, but maybe try to give us a little closure here, too. or just entirely scrap it so no one else gets sucked into it. i hate reading a story only to find out on the last chapter that the story's no longer with us. good luck and let us know what you decide, please!
