It's a pretty good Dark Naruto fic but I'm afraid you're making Naruto too attached to the people around him, I doubt someone who wants to conquer the galaxy would let something like 'attachments' hold them back and I fear this is exactly what you're doing.

Slow climb indeed, and Danzo getting his hands on Naruto? That should be amusing.

Surprisingly, I never read this. I enjoy a bit of dark!Naruto, and look forward to seeing how you spin this with the same proficiency you have with From Darkness.

... I would be totally fine with pairing this Naruto with Kaguya. But besides my weird desires this is a really interesting story and I can't wait to see how Naruto's character develops. One thing I like about Dark characters are that they aren't exactly evil, just ruthless. But they are capable of good but it tends to benefit those closest to them. Anyway enough rambling from me, best wishes!

So, its never fully explained but my theory on how humans obtained chakra is thus: Sometime during the time the Sage came up with the idea of Ninshu but before Kaguya fused with the Shinju, Hagoromo went around the Nations spreading his Ninshu philosophy while simultaneously gifting portions of his Chakra to the people...thus enabling them to use Ninshu and later Ninjutsu. Kaguya finds out, gets mad and fuses with the Shinju...the ensuing conflict results in the moon eye plan and an undeterminable number of people becoming White Zetsu. Hagoromo and his brother step up and defeat Kaguya before she can complete her plan. The surviving Ninshu users (including the Sage's family) survive several successive generations and eventually evolve chakra coils to better use Ninjutsu as a weapon rather than Ninshu as a tool of peace. You might think a thousand odd years isn't enough for humans to evolve another circulatory system but we've been shown multiple times that Chakra has remarkable Mutagenic properties. Perhaps this is where the specific clans of summoning animals come from as we frequently see normal non-intelligent animals alongside the talking thinking ones. Hell some of the Inuzuka dogs can talk too!

I wonder if the beasts Naruto saw in his vision are the other Tailed Beasts. If Naruto can get Kurama on his side the others shouldnt be too difficult.

Great chapter. I hope when you say Dark you dont mean evil. When I think of a Dark!Character i think of an Anti-Hero rather than a Villain. Villains are Evil.
