Personette19 chapter 3 . 2/29 This is so good ! |
MalaZh chapter 3 . 4/19/2019 Amazing, I can see them in my mind. Great descriptions! |
AmyMagicalMist chapter 3 . 10/19/2016 Lovely Stories. I, being a Ravenclaw myself, loved my house common room's description. I will stop rambling now and shut up...I LOVED IT! WRITE SOME MORE! Amy |
stickysillyputty chapter 2 . 5/21/2015 This is so wonderful! When I first went on Pottermore, I was sorted into Hufflepuff. I was kind of disappointed. But after seeing from your point of you, I've realized that Hufflepuff is actually pretty awesome, and I am now proud to call it my House. |
SourElf chapter 2 . 4/7/2015 I'm going to be honest-I skimmed straight to 'my' house. I like the idea of group counseling, and your descriptions of Professor Sprout. |
Guest chapter 2 . 2/25/2015 I love it! I'm definitely a Hufflepuff! |
CreativeIdealist chapter 3 . 2/15/2015 I don't think anyone has ever delved in so deep into these "insignificant" intricacies so hats off to you for this wonderful fic! |
Eclectic Me chapter 3 . 1/7/2015 Alright, based on your description, I do feel like maybe I would be more at home in Hufflepuff. I can be intellectual, but not to the point of dissecting every point of every argument and getting in deep with philosophy and all that. In general, I love this little project you did! I love how each chapter is like an essay, covering every facet of life for the housemates in each house. Really, one of the best pieces I've seen in quite a while! |
Eclectic Me chapter 2 . 1/7/2015 The hippy house! lol Not saying that as a bad thing. In fact it sounds a lot like a group I was in in college, and your description of Professor Sprout sounds like our beloved leader who was a nun. I don't think of this as my house. It's usually Ravenclaw, although now I think of it the Pottermore sorting hat quiz, which should be the definitive one, did put me in Hufflepuff. I'm feeling unusually Hufflepuffy tonight, however. Maybe because it's been a rough couple of days, and right now I'd love nothing more than to have a hug, collaps on a big squashy body pillow, drink some hot chocolate, and just be surrounded by warm friends. Peace and love, dudes! |
WelcomeToTheMindPalace chapter 1 . 12/29/2014 I greatly appreciated your story. Your atmospheric portrayal of each Common Room was spot-on, and absolutely believable. Slytherin was especially reminiscent of an Ivy League College (as was Ravenclaw), where the highly privileged and wealthy students are prepared for lives in high society. Thank you so much for posting this! I'd love to see your interpretation of Gryffindor Common Room. I know we've all been privy to the Gryffindor going-ons throughout all of the novels, but after your brilliant rendering of the other three, I'm especially interested in another chapter dedicated to the red and gold-bedecked familiarity of Gryffindor house. Thanks so much for sharing! |
Thatdammarauder chapter 1 . 12/29/2014 Wow, I love this idea. The first chapter though, it's amazing. I love how you just justify the Slytherins and make it seem...almost good, cold but practical, reasoning, smart (there was no doubt of that even before), and it's sort of like Dauntless in Divergent in a way. I think I might even go to Slytherin, despite of their mean ways. Who knows, I might even change them a little to the more friendly side. |
Canon Archives chapter 3 . 12/29/2014 If these were different colleges, I honestly don't know what I'd choose. I'm stuck between the intellectual curiosity and personal attention from professors in Ravenclaw, and the warm friendly community feeling in Hufflepuff. Good thing the hat decides... But either way, I know exactly what I'd be getting from each. This is so well done I am really impressed. I've never seen someone do this before but it is such a good idea! |
ChocolateWriter chapter 3 . 12/29/2014 This is really great! Are you going to add another or will you leave it as the houses? Because I can see you writing them about places all over the castle, that weren't explained because Harry was never in them. And are you going to add Gryffindor? I hope you do, hp just as a wrap up to the whole thing. |
reachingforlight chapter 2 . 12/29/2014 I love this idea! It's very creative, unique, and I quite enjoyed the Hufflepuff description. I'll be anticipating the next update. :) |
Canon Archives chapter 1 . 12/28/2014 Hello again! I was notified that you got this brand new story, and I love it! It's an absolutely fascinating idea! I feel like I'm reading a school catalog or something giving house descriptions... I feel very enlightened. People should read this before writing anything just to get an in depth analysis of each house. This is a very useful handbook to have accessible. It creates a solid basis to turn to for an accuracy check. I'm excited to see what the other houses are like! |
