Sort of disappointed in this chapter... I don't want to spoil anything in the comments section so I will be general.

What Blake did is inexcusable. Letting another person win a fight will not do any good for that person's confidence. Generally it feels horrible to be taken pity on in this way, especially when it is for something important. Thoughts of not actually deserving what has been achieved will undoubtedly manifest in the head of someone who had such pity taken upon them. What Blake did was not the actions of a good friend. Moreover, from my perspective, this made Blake come off as highly arrogant even if Blake herself did not intend for her actions to come off as such.

Besides this, I'm confident that if we saw canon Neo fight in any of these matches, she would have no trouble winning. This includes against Blake. Pyrrha would likely be an issue as a result of her semblance, but I think these two in a fight would not favour Pyrrha as much as presented in the last couple chapters. But because this Neo is much different then her canon self in the "Neo Outlook" story, I suppose that is not so important here.

Again, my thoughts are not meant to be discouraging to the author. I simply wish to share them so the author might get a perspective of what some readers think. Cheers!

Thought I might as well leave a comment for people who are digging deep for old RWBY fan fictions.

This story largely follows Neo, however she is very ooc. Obviously, the story was written only shortly after volume 2, so this is somewhat understandable, but even by the standards of fan fictions from 2015 or so she is ooc. Neo talks a lot in this story, which I know is off putting to some (for the most part, I don't like this either). A talking Neo just doesn't feel the same as the "silent but deadly" Neo we get in canon. Moreover, so far her character doesn't have the same level of confidence many expect from Neo, nor is her skill as high as what might be expected based off of new RWBY material or by fan fiction standards.

The story itself is okay so far (I've read up to chapter 9), but there are some pacing and dialog issues (some if it is just a bit cliche and some of Neo's dialog in particular just doesn't come off as something she would say if she spoke). Basically, I'm just reading this because of the odd appeal behind the rare pair Neo x Weiss.

If the author of the story sees this review (the author hasn't updated a story in a few years now), please don't be discouraged. I appreciate you taking the time to write an publish this story. Despite the above, it has been a nice read to take my mind off of somethings. Cheers!

Nevermind my review of ch 1, i just checked your bio, and it is almost the same, difference being the sites format. That said, GOD DAMN I MISSED THIS STORY! Its so well written that I try to compare quality of works with this story. I was heartbroken when you left quotev, but I have done the same since, so I have no room to talk. In short, im just glad I found this story again.

Question. I have to ask for reasons of crediting. Is the same person who posted this on Quotev, but later took it down? That was the original post, though under a different name. I adore this story, and I want the correct person recognize if you arent the original author, but if you are, welcome back to the writer scene
