This chapter nearly made me cry, again and my dad is sitting right next to me and if I start crying, he'll just give me a weird look because I'm crying over a book...I love this, though, even if I am probably a few years late to be reviewing.

So many themes...so many memorable moments...so many unique mesmerizing character moments...
I LOVE THIS.
Roy and Ed's characters, both together and combined in situations and analysis are spectacular! Roy's kid thing with Ed had me wishing for more (you delivered btw) and Ed's brutal opening to that type of relationship with the Flame Alchemist...I couldn't get enough of this! Every plot point was placed and paced with perfection, during and out of captivity; your writing went really in depth and I cried several times (oh, and the part where they ripped his nerves...I actually felt a shiver down my spine. I felt that). Your OC and supporting characters felt there and important - especially Feury! Yes, yes, yes! I was emotionally attached to this work the entire 2 weeks I was reading it! The flow kept me going through the entire thing! You know how to write a plot with great characters, I can tell.
If there was one thing I would question, and by NO MEANS is this work hindered in any way by it, but...the ending feels is not really genuine? Like...the entire story felt real, substantial - like it would change their lives forever. That was part of it's main appeal to me. And you kinda went that way, but...idk. It was a good move to keep this in canon verse, but you mighta made it seem everything just went back to normal without a hitch? You had some recovery, but it didn't feel as strong as the rest. I didn't feel that sheer happiness of 'Yay Ed has been beaten to a shell of what he used to be but he fought back and he's gonna be okay YAY!'. That's what I was expecting after the severe horrific events that occurred! You sorta had that, but it felt more like a side note. No may is this bad! It's just something I noticed, and I wanted to address it. Still a fantastic ending!
The dedication to this work shone through this entire thing, it did not go unnoticed. Thank you for giving the internet a great story! Certainly one to remember. I adored this! I hope you've written more! Guess I'll find out in a few seconds:) But if you didn't, don't worry, we all got lives. Thanks again for every word of this!

FINALLY finished this fic after so long, and I gotta say that I loved it. Thank you for writing it!

I discovered this story a few hours ago and I just finished reading the entire thing, and I love it. The story is great, the plot is great, the characterization is greateverything about it is great. I would say more but I’ve been awake nearly 24 hours so I’m kinda tired. All in all, I love this story and you’re a great writer, keep it up!

So glad Ed is back on the team! Awesome story! The suspense really had me hooked. Are you going to write more stories?

What a great way to end it! I never expected him to show up as an ambassador... and I'm curious what Drachma is doing behind the scenes before the attack on Briggs (which I'm guessing would still happen somehow?). And showing how the reinforced trust between mah bois works back into canon was very satisfying. I'm quite sure I've said this a gazillion times, but you did a magnificent job with this story!

you’re an amazing author; this was such an emotional trip, going from high to low, excitement right to fear, relief to nerves, all over the place. I’m glad that ed is doing so much better, now. He really looks like he’s improved, and I’m proud of him. He’s been through ao much, but he’s so strong and so brave—-and now he’s got his parents with him, too. And his entire family. They can help him. And Roy’s got an... an insider’s look on how he’s doing and feeling which, yes, means that Roy needs to recover as well, also means that it’s easier to help ed recover, too
I KNEW void was... was... a traitor i guess? from the first time ed got captured. I knew it wasnt JUST a plan thing. I knew he was starting to get the belly aches. I don’t think he deserved to get ambassador, and honestly for torturing a child i dont think he deserved anything more than a bullet between the eyes, but i suppose it’s whatever. Ed’s healing, and doing better, and that’s what matters.

Altho i am PERSONALLY offended that roy didnt scoop his kid right up to his chest, seeing him all healed, and like. squeeze him tight. I’ll pretend that it happened once Ed was released from the hospital.
ALSO also roy is DEF using that lullaby later on bc ed deserves to sleep well and if it means his papa sings to him then well i guess that’s the way it be.

Edward is the bravest boy I’ve ever had the courage of reading abot and I love him. So much. I’m so proud of him.

AWWWWW his FAMILY was there! He must miss them all so much ;-;
But it’s okay now. Ed’s going to escape, and Roy and the team ( his FAMILY) on their supply run will run run into him and take care of him. Roy will carry him on his back and Ed will get real sleep for the first time in ages because he’s safe and sound with his family.

Anyway, back to reading! Looking really good so far!
