I adored this fic, it was everything I was looking for and more to satisfy an Inquisition story expansion, as well as a wonderful deepening of the romance between Cullen and the Inquisitor. I loved how so many small moments from the game made seamless appearances, in ways that were so insightful it had me reassessing the characters. I had never really noted, for example, how flustered the Inquisitor is confessing to Cullen. I particularly liked the lyrium withdrawal characterization, and how it played a properly large role, which brings me to my only criticism (which is hardly a criticism really and more my wishing there was more of this story to read): I feel that the part where Cullen's attempt to resign over his withdrawal, and his revelation about the Fereldan tower experiences, was missing. I expected that scene and th depth this story would add to it, and it felt like there was so much lead up to it and a lot that could be done here with it, only to have it skimmed over. It's the one flaw in an otherwise pretty perfect fic. Thank you so much for your attention to detail and just for writing this out, I loved reading it!

I would love to see an epilogue. Ora is a very likable character and she has a very sincere relationship with Cullen that's sweet to read. The sweetest thing being Cullen commissioning a fur coat- honestly they're already wearing matching clothes? Too cute.

I absolutely love this story. You have the characters perfectly down pat. I can hear their voices in my head, especially Dorian and Iron Bull, actually just everyone in general. You seem to know so much of the lore etc, it makes the whole story feel so real (in a fictional sense). And it makes it very interesting to read. Not to mention the way you write it is wonderful, you are an excellent writer. I hope you get the chance to update again soon. Love it!

I enjoyed reading the developing situation about Wycome. I hope we hear the results of the nobles examination of the evidence, it's a plot line I would like to see through. I love your writing and its very human/elf emphasis on the characters. That might sound obvious, but it's good to see Cullen's personalty so much on show every chapter.

One thing I will say is that sometimes I lose the thread of the chapter. Like I'm not sure where we are in terms of the setting. Like after the Keeper thinks about Ora (great work on that by the way), it's unclear whether Cullen is still in the Free Marches or if he is back in Skyhold. The italics are obviously memories, but the transition can be difficult to tell in the present tense for where we are. I don't know if it's just me, but it is something that jumps out.

Still loving it either way though!

I like the expansion into the Free Marches, we still know so little despite spending an entire game in one of the most prominent states. It's a good idea though, and very believable that the other cities would think this was sort of Dalish coup. That Cullen went with a show of force was pretty great as well, even if he is suffering at the moment. Whether or not that will have an adverse affect on the negotiations I am interested to find out.

A little sad we didn't see more of the Winter Palace, as I enjoyed the soiree you wrote in the last chapter. Having said that though, I would prefer to see more of Wycome, as it's a fascinating side plot.

Hoping we see more Ora/Cullen relationship interactions soon. Makes sense they'd put work first at the moment, but it can't stay that way forever!

Glad to see an update, I enjoy reading more about Ora. And she matches with Cullen very well. I was surprised to see the start of their relationship happen off screen as it were, a one line comment from Dorian as well? Personally I would like to see the scene replayed in detail, as the fic was leading up to this event for a while now so it seems strange that we've missed the start of it.

I particularly enjoyed the soiree. Makes me hopeful that the Winter Palace will be similarly good.
