Medinah chapter 1 . 2/7/2019 Really liked this! good too see there's still good people out there! |
DeejayMil chapter 1 . 10/25/2015 Eeeee friendship story! Also ahhhhhh Christmas story... *guilt about Christmas shopping intensifies* And we start with a mystery! I'll be honest, I almost thought Reid had gotten a secret puppy and was rushing home to see it. I have no idea why I thought that, but it was in the top of my mind as I was reading. This ended up being just as sweet though! I love the idea of the team sneaking paperwork into Reid's intake box. I would totally do that if I had a genius co-worker who could read 20,000 wpm. I'd repay him with candy, or something. I love when the team shows concern about Reid and tries to help him out, especially Morgan. I remember the days when those two used to be so close on the show, we sorely need to revisit those days! This was a wonderfully adorable little one-shot, and I'm filled with warm Christmassy cheer! You even had a little Reid "did you know" moment, which I love but keep forgetting to slip into my stories. Kudos! |
AHowell1993 chapter 1 . 7/28/2015 Hotch knowing what meetings Reid is going to is a way that Reid is promising to not relapse because Reid has so much potiential and the FBI wouldnt want to lose him. and if he notices Reid is probably craving he would probably pull Reid aside and privitely tell him to try and go to one of those movies even if its right after a case and they will need to go back to the office he will be OK with Reid coming back to the office a little bit later than the others because he knows that Reid has a safe place to go to and deal with his cravings in a healthy way. |
Gubefan1980 chapter 1 . 2/26/2015 What a sweet story I can imagine Reid doing something like that he is a sweet kind loving soul. Loved it a lot. |
angelcobra chapter 1 . 12/30/2014 You have done a terrific job of building the suspense about why Reid is leaving early more and more often. It's true, given so much cause for concern about Reid over the years, his friends would naturally worry. I love that it is Morgan who is fretting, not wanting to jump to the conclusion that Reid is in serious trouble, but unable to convince himself there is no reason to be anxious. I like how he is trying to strike a balance between outright alarm and mild concern. Of course, he would finally be unable to leave it alone. Look what happened after Hankel. Morgan would never want to make that mistake again. Ha, Reid won't make it easy. Of course, knowing the reason for his behavior, he wouldn't realize Morgan is becoming increasingly desperate to know. I suppose Reid could be accustomed to cold winters by now. They say the body acclimates after awhile. Anyway, I like his response to Morgan, "It's thirty-eight degrees," he says, confused. When has the stoic Reid ever admitted to discomfort or the need for help? Aw, Reid gives Morgan even more anxiety, acting dismal all day and not paying attention. Okay, now I'm worried, too. And Reid still won't tell Morgan anything, even when Morgan confronts him about acting secretive. I definitely want to know what's up. But Morgan can't pry it out of Reid, and now he's kind of mad at Reid. A temporary and normal reaction on his part. How cheering to show Morgan excited for Christmas, with his presents all bought and wrapped. I appreciate your letting us in on what must be a rare event, with no threat of being called out on a case for a change. I love it when the team has the chance to enjoy holidays and leisure and time with family and friends. Joy! A serendipitous Reid sighting! But still the suspense continues. Reid won't tell Morgan (or us) where he is going with his boxes. You have seriously captured my interest here. You have made me so happy. Reid has a wonderful support group. Reid is active with his group. Reid has a Christmas party to make him feel included and alleviate the loneliness he surely feels when he can't get to Vegas for the holidays. I have always hoped to see John again on the show. I love that Reid has a friend in high places in the FBI. Now I understand - Reid obviously wouldn't want to talk about the Beltway Cops group at the office. Quite right and an inspired choice as a reason to keep us wondering. And we find out what had Reid troubled. Again, you find a way to incorporate Morgan's renovation hobby into a story, this time to help Reid give a gift to his sponsor. Am I right? Morgan is angling to go to ComicCon with Reid and Garcia? A perfect gift from Morgan to Reid. I love that he is embracing Reid's interests instead of making fun of them. I bet he has a great time. What a great bonding opportunity for the two of them. And Reid is willing to embrace Morgan's interest in sports. More experiences to cement their friendship. Thanks for pulling back the curtain to give us a heart-warming glimpse of a bright and cheering Christmas season for two of our favorite people. What a wonderful present you have given us. |
FirefliesFlash chapter 1 . 12/27/2014 AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! I loved this! This is SUCH a Reid thing to do. Absolutely perfect. Loved this. :D Especially the ending about Reid rambling about reindeer. Absolutely perfect. And I teared up in the middle when Reid was helping his sponsor out. |
J chapter 1 . 12/25/2014 Nice fic. Is that John guy [who loaned Reid his sober medallion] Reid's sponsor? Or is that just something that fans assume is the case? I mean, have they actually ever came out and said so on the show? I can't remember. Anyway, the idea of Morgan, Reid and Garcia all going to comi-con together is epic! Love it. Thanks for the fic. Happy Holidays! |
Graveygraves chapter 1 . 12/26/2014 Thank you so much for your great story. I love how you portrayed their friendship. I think it is such a powerful bond that is frequently under used in the show. You did a fantastic job of capturing Morgan's protective streak and his worry when things are going well. I love how Morgan reasoned that something wasn't wrong because reid wasn't being 'odd' enough. Reid's secrecy and concern for his sponsor were typical of his character and a great insight into him away from the team. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this story for me - what a wonderful gift. |
Addicted2bquinn chapter 1 . 12/25/2014 That was a nice fic. |
tannerose5 chapter 1 . 12/25/2014 Thanks for the holiday story. I love stories with Reid and Morgan as friends. The show hasn't shown much of that for a few years. Again, thanks, and have a great holiday. If you don't celebrate, then just have a great day! |
