Awe. Sad Tristan is almost as sad as sadMiles!

Aw. This was so brutal. I really thought things would turn out similarly in the show. I was surprised that by 14x10 Tristan seemed almost completely unfazed by all those hurtful things Miles said. I think your version is probably more realistic. Given what we know about Tristan he should have been devastated by what Miles said. Even if he did eventual decide Miles hadn't really meant it, I'm disappointed the show didn't really give us any aftermath of those words from Tristan's point of view. But then again I always love some good ol' angst with my otp. It makes the high's that much better. I loved this story. Thanks for writing and posting. I always enjoy your stuff! :)

This one is such a sad read because of its overwhelming accuracy. The feelings you managed to capture here are beautifully heartbreaking because I think we've all had a relationship with someone in life that you have tried so hard to bring the best out of but its still not been good enough.

The 'lump lodged' extract where you describe Tristan as paralysed is so realistic. We've all been there too, where someone you care about so much is unbearably nasty when all your trying to do is help that you are stunned still by how much it hurts. I agree, that Miles's words are awfully cruel, especially to someone who has been so kind.

I can totally picture Tristan in bed at night, imagining different 'I love you' scenarios. First loves are like that I think. Where you imagine all of the different points in a new relationship that you see in movies etc.

'No more room for fantasies.' I can't even. Too true.

I really like how you've managed to describe the desolate loneliness that Tristan must been feeling and depicted how all of the people he's cared about have slowly left him. This is so sad overall, but we can all only hope that Tristan gets a happy ending and your writing here has done his character so much justice.

I think you captured Tristan's thoughts perfectly. I really wished that scene had been more in his perspective. I had a hard time telling what was going through his head, so I'm glad you wrote this. Great job! (:

YES! Thank you! This was what I was waiting for. From someone, anyone, and I'm glad it was you because I couldn't write this better myself. Of course I'm a major Triles shipper, but that does not mean I turn a blind eye to certain scenarios. What Miles said was completely uncalled for and I know it probably hinted to the harsh truth. T'is why I seriously wish he wasn't the one who was trying to make amends in episode 10 because.. seriously, why the hell is he?! You know you deserve better! As much as Miles is hurting, it's not fair that he's bringing everyone down with him. And now he's coddling back with Maya when not a day before he said he hated her... -sighs- Thank you for writing this. You got his emotions down perfectly right down to the last drop.
