Jelly chapter 6 . 10/21/2016 Thank you so much for this, it really was a pleasure. It's hard to explain, but reading this, it felt a lot to me like I was re-reading(/re-watching) Soul Eater, with the characters and the essence of the adventure still the same, but at the same time it was like reading in between the lines this time, because it helped to fill in all of those little gaps in SoMa's relationship that the Soul Eater author purposely left out in his work, so that people like you could fill them in for the rest of us. Does that make sense? Great job, I'm sure you put quite a bit of heart and effort in this, and it was worth it! |
killer angel girl chapter 6 . 6/6/2016 So were all the babies born like Kid, Patty, Liz and them? |
Lunar Resonance chapter 3 . 5/5/2016 Your dialogue is so great at moving along the story and flows so well, like a real-life conversation; it really pulls me into the story! My fave parts were Soul and Kim's heart to heart (frosted flake omfg), Crona's meltdown and Soul's nightmare. Crona's part was so vivid and the parallels with Soul trying to face his nightmare later on and the difference being Maka kills me really. I'm super excited to read more! ALSO 'STUFFIN HER MUFFIN' GOOD FUCKING HELL |
Lunar Resonance chapter 2 . 4/18/2016 This chapter was such a great show of Maka and Soul's partnership; I'm in absolute love with the way you describe resonance-you take a concept that can be really hard to describe and visualize it beautifully. In general, this entire chapter was like a movie playing out in my head, I could see everything perfectly (Soul tree scene and Maka's dream were my fave parts.) ALSO BUDDING SOUL AND HARV BROTP IS A. |
Lunar Resonance chapter 1 . 4/12/2016 I'm trying to choose my favorite thing about this and there's sO MUCH GOOD STUFF THAT I CAN'T. The premise of Limbo is so neat and its parallel with 'a sound soul dwells within a sound mind and a sound body' is perfect. Also the way you describe resonance and the link between Soul and Maka is absolutely beautiful. |
absolutefiction chapter 6 . 11/12/2015 Absolutely spectacular. No words. Beautiful. I teared up. |
N1kk1chan chapter 6 . 5/29/2015 I just read your story. Thank you for taking the time to write something so creative and intriguing! |
Midnight Hazard chapter 6 . 3/8/2015 Ahh this story was so awesome! I've never heard anything like this idea, it was so interesting and well carried out! And I loved what you did with the chraracters, not to mention the emotions, which I think you handled really well. The entire thing, the plot, the idea, the setting, was all awesome and I'm so glad I read it! |
fullmetalgrigori chapter 6 . 2/23/2015 I really, really love this story and thought you did an excellent job with it. I couldn't stop reading once I started! You blend angst, action, introspection, and humor together in a really mesmerizing way that captivated me. I could not stop snorting at Soul's sarcastic one-liners and I ached for him in his insecurity. I felt everything the characters did. You also did a very good job in describing really abstract concepts without going too far, and that is something I very much enjoyed. Your use of language and imagery was spot on. Overall, I love this story and will definitely be coming back to read it again! |
Ba-sing-saying chapter 6 . 2/22/2015 This freaking ending. They're SO CUTE. This fic made me feel a completely new vibe between Maka and Soul, and I'm not sure how to describe it. Most of the time people write SoMa as either teenagers with a huge crush on each other or lifelong soulmates with this complete certainty that they want to be together forever, but you kind of combined the two into this kind of... tentative soulmates? I think it's because they met and got to know each other in a dreamworld where their future was so uncertain, but in which they were simultaneously able to grow so much closer so much more quickly due to the lack of social constraints in that world and the desperate need they have for each other's help in accomplishing their mission to get back to their bodies. It's like they knew they wanted more and that they could totally be that more that they both want, but that they're not there yet, and not just because they're both young, but because of what's going on in each of their heads and all the nightmares and fears that they have to learn to defeat to accept each other, before they can reach that level. After the first two chapters, the story seemed like it hadn't found a direction yet (possibly just because of the trippiness, maybe because it took a while to get used to the fantasy setting while it was being introduced), but after that, when the main Spartoi crew was solidified in Soul's mind as the friends he wished he'd known in real life, everything started falling into place more. Anyway, you did a super job on this. It only got better and better as it went, and I was worried the ending was going to hurt, but you brought it all to a close so nicely, and you made Soul and Maka's relationship so adorable that I had to put my phone down and try not to just giggle out loud because it made me so happy. It was kind of embarrassing. |
Lucy Ashley from Fairy Tail chapter 6 . 1/11/2015 Dude. This. This is freaking perfect. And the characterization is fantastic and just the fears are stunning and you just made everything fantastic and shit, I freaking love you. |
Lacrimosa Tomboy chapter 6 . 1/8/2015 Holy. Crap. Stunning...just...wow. I know I'm supposed to provide a properly critical review, but damn, my brain isn't working right now. All I know is that you kept each and every character ridiculously in character, Soul and Maka's relationship was awesome and lovely and awkward and amazing, and you rode the balance between humour and tension wonderfully. Those nicknames! *snicker* Also, that final battle with Maddie/Medusa was INCREDIBLE, and I loved it! Beautiful job. |
Willowdove chapter 6 . 1/2/2015 This is SO AMAZING OH MY GAWD. The universe is so interesting and the characters are believable and their relationships progress so naturally and I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS FIC GAH I CANT EVEN TELL YOU . |
fantsyfreak chapter 6 . 12/29/2014 Shit. Giriko. I hate him. What’s with Maka and the hands? Was she… abused in some way? Oh god she was… Shit. Shit got real and it’s scary as all shit. And now Maka knows about Soul’s family, but she wants him to find a reason for himself, and that is the most unselfish, beautiful thing… And it’s a date. I skipped commenting on the middle part cause I couldn’t stop reading, but WOW. Soul got rid of his demon without accepting it, so that’s different. And that’s one way to get rid of Medusa. They found the music to harmonize everyone, which means everyone can go home now, right? YES I WAS RIGHT OH MY GOD YES THEY ALL GET REBORN! And the song, he plays from his soul, and oh my god it’s so corny and happy and sappy but I DON’T CARE I LOVE IT! And it really is a date, and they flirt with ice cream and its the most perfectly happy ending. Thank you. Really, thank you. |
fantsyfreak chapter 5 . 12/29/2014 I’m wondering why Maka is so upset, but I guess we’ll find out… Their first battle as a team, and their prey feels sympathy and leaves. They weren’t really in fighting condition in the first place. And now its Maka’s turn to break. Oh god, they really are the same, aren’t they? Soul and Maka just want to be accepted, to believe in another person. I'm honestly confused on how Maka got a nightmare/flashback from piano keys or whatever was inside that house that made her freak, but I'm glad she let it all out. Ahh truth or dare, what a great way to unwind after a long day of facing your fears, by faces sillier ones. Or in Blakes place, not so much… Oh no! Patti’s road… where have all their friends gone? Shoot, this’ll be a problem... I hope they're still alive. Still good, still hoping for a happy ending. |
