Awesome adaptation of the Freelancer story dude! I love how the other pilots are almost frightened by how good Trent is. "This isn't my first cruiser. Oh look! A battleship! You guys sure you don't wanna get in on this?" I hope you finish the story.

I know how it is. Fyl is like the ex that always drags you back, but always when you realise one day that you re missing her. 3 days ago i got the bug again and reinstalled, and tried tge crossfire mod as well. You should do it. It incorporates extra lore, more ships and continues the campain. I had to reduce difficulty quite drastically early game, but ut is just... Just awesome. Cannot recommend it enough, in case you need some inspiration!

I love your character building, the background you give trent and zane, all of it. So great. Ugh i m gushing. But seriously. Write more please!

Just remembered your write up the other day, discovered a full 2 new chapters. Read the whole thing again to boot. I think your style is perfectly suited to what you set out to do, the relationship between Trent and Juni should have been a bit more prominent in game. I particularly enjoyed your little deviations from the plot. Keep up the good work!

Damn it's good to be reading this again! I love how for Trent it's become practically routine to crack cruisers now.

Wow. Given the gap between the last couple of chapters, I didn't expect you to update this quickly.

So, Trent was more willing to put off the confrontation to take care of Juni. Didn't expect that, but it makes sense. And the bit about him being committed at this point is also true. Even 'official' Trent is at this point, even if he doesn't realize it.

You have addressed one of the few parts of this game that make me feel awkward about it! I mean, Lord Hakkera's dialogue about Juni at Kyoto was phrased so awkwardly in-game that I was never one-hundred percent certain he was actually talking about the issues Rhineland had with Liberty and Kusari citizens.

And, of course, Mr. Blix. The seemingly random and unexplained psychic. I never figured out why he was added and never addressed beyond this mission. I mean, he's either psychic, which hasn't been seen anywhere else, or he's a Nomad that's turned on the others, which isn't seen anywhere else. Point it, he never made sense. I hope you have managed to make a good explanation for him.

Nice to see this update. I was starting to worry. But, if you have run out of transcripts, it is understandable.

This was always one of the missions I dreaded the most. I usually would have to spend, minimum, the majority of my shield batteries and about a third of my nanobots just getting into the fortress, and that's if I managed to skip the first wave of fighters and that gunship...

And, of course, this is about where Trent finds out how messed up the situation truly is. We know how Trent from the game takes it, but I wonder how different Trent here would take it. He may not be extraordinarily different, but he is different enough that it could be completely different take, in my opinion.

Anyway, glad to see an update and hope you have luck with the next one!

Well, no more Chugoku Gate? I wish you could do something like that in the actual game... Seriously, that place is a pain no matter which side of the law you are on.

While this is definitely a break from canon, I think you made it a very logical result of your story. It may be a 'criminal' act, but it is one that is done for the betterment of both the government and criminal factions.

Makes me wonder how else you'll alter canon. You've been doing so fantastically, so I doubt that any other deviations will be disliked.

Nice! I like this extension to the plot as a natural outgrowth of some of the rumors you pick up in Kusari about the wastefulness of the Chugoku project. Will you expand the Rheinland part to give the Bundschuh and LWB more of a leg up in a reconstituted Rheinland missing its Chancellor? :)
