Shadow'sDelight chapter 1 . 2/11/2016
Awesome and beautiful written work. I absolutely loved the interaction between Archie and May!

I hope that you have a great and blessed day!
SomethingYouMakeBloom chapter 1 . 1/14/2016
Hahaha, this is great. I love their (as in Archie and May's) relationship, too. Hah, the mentions of Steven and Wallace were a nice touch. Having May be haunted by her confrontation with Kyogre is a nice idea! I haven't read anything like that before- but it was great (of course)! Her development was clear throughout the story (especially near the end, obviously). I'll try not to use the word "great" again, so- overall, this was fabulous!
a cup of insanity chapter 1 . 12/25/2014
Fics like this make me want to hug all the protags tbh. They're so young and they have to go through so much. They're like, what, 10-12 and they have to carry the world on their shoulders. :-(

I love your characterizations, especially Archie. He's such a funny dude. I like him. He's a pretty chill guy. It's been a while since I've played RSE, and I'm still stuck on the 2nd gym in ORAS so I haven't met him yet... Looking forward to it, though. x)

Also looking forward to more of your works. (I just love your fics omg and then there was that one fic you wrote about N, Cheren, Rosa and Hilda IT WAS A COMPLETE PUNCH TO THE GUT LIKE PLEASE I DID NOT ASK FOR THIS PAIN okay I should probably shut up now oh my god goodbye have a good day!)
ectobiiologist chapter 1 . 12/22/2014
ahhh this was amazing!
amethystaquamarine34azure chapter 1 . 12/18/2014
This is an incredible piece and I'm surprised it doesn't have reviews but then again this is typical so here we go!
Everything about this piece is perfect-the story, the characterization, interactions, etc. A lot of the questions brought up about the whole situation of Pokémon ORAS (even continuing from RSE) and power dynamics and handling all sorts of shit at a very young age were great and deliberated on very well. For as much as I love Steven and the other League characters one has to wonder throughout the game what they're there for other than just being people you overcome on your journey to get stronger. Ah I don't think I liked Archie as much as the one you've portrayed here. May is lovely and goes through such a angsty (but well-deserved) journey, but she is closer to resolving it in the end, which was sweet! May x Archie dynamic is intriguing me despite my May x Steven bias. Anyways, great job, and I any wait to see your other works!
ImmemorialMemory chapter 1 . 12/18/2014
Nice fic! Glad to see ORAS got you writing again! :D

I really hope some Hoennchampionshipping ideas inspire you. Steven gets more screen time in ORAS than in RSE. *.*
jhvfuesufhb chapter 1 . 12/16/2014
This was amazing, and YAY FLUFF story next! I'll be waiting for an alert :D
Platinum Daylight chapter 1 . 12/11/2014
I just love the way you portray their relationship. It makes me see everything in Pokemon in a different light. I loved Archie's characterization in your story, it's just like ORAS, and I really like him! After playing a Pokemon game, just getting through legendaries and saving the world looks easy since the protagonist can't talk. The protag is just so young and they have to swiftly ave the world like it's nothing, like Dawn/Lucas for example. I'd be scared for my life if I had to go out into distorted space just to face an evil villain again, and THEN catch a legendary. But oh my god, the ORAS protag goes through a hell of a lot. Like that cut-scene when she had to get on Kyogre's back got me like "And a 12 year old has to do this?" and then going out into space in high speed on Raquaza's back. 12 YEAR OLDS SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO GO OUT INTO SPACE, AQUA SUIT OR NOT. But you're a really realistic writer and that makes our fics amazing, and I know in one of your previous fics (it was a Giovanni/Silver father-son thing) you said you sucked at writing anything that's not romance, but this fic really inspired me yet again like your others. Even if you don't write Steven/May anymore, this was written well and makes me re-think my skills, like god that characterization.
orpheus-under-starlight chapter 1 . 12/9/2014
Beautiful. I love it when fics touch upon the fact that people /really/ shouldn't leave saving the world to twelve-year-olds, or, well, younger teenagers in general... because those twelve-year-olds, no matter how okay they might seem, are probably going to do something rather like this May has done just to convince everyone they're fine. Something I'm trying to touch upon myself, really.

I mostly enjoyed the character relationships as well, but a friend brought up a point of contention that I didn't consider- that the weight of Team Aqua's goals seemed lessened by Archie's attitude, like he was too busy making jokes about you being the hero and him the villain to take his aims seriously.

I find I rather like this fic's Archie. You're always so wonderful with characterization! My thanks for the wonderful read.
fan chapter 1 . 12/8/2014
I live your fic, though i know your story is an angsty one i couldnt help but laugh a lot of time when archie refer steven as the pretty boy, poking fun on what everyone call him in the game... you even insert the wrestle joke hahahaa... In all, its very refreshing to see in may and archie character in another light..
Gyarii chapter 1 . 12/8/2014
I always thought the protags as young adults like 17year olds at least. I wished the game touched more on the protag's feelings... Your fic made me view May and Archie in a new light.
GreenPokeGuy chapter 1 . 12/7/2014
My goodness was this awesome. I never thought that the events might scar the protagonist in that way... Poor May.

Everyone was so IC, and I really loved the interaction between Archie and May. I really liked his characterisation, and now I kinda want to play AS to see more of his character, since I got OR. :P

Can't wait for some more ORAS stuff! :)

Master Edge 2 chapter 1 . 12/7/2014
I loved Archies personality in this fic, the genuine goodhearted role model suits him pretty well. I haven't played Ruby or Sapphire in a long time and have yet to buy ORAS, so I can't remember if that was his persona in the games, or if this version of him is entirely your creation. If so, bravo, if not, you captured it well.

You never really think that these are just kids dealing with immeasurable odds, and the fact that they have their entire lives ahead of them with the memories of these events is overlooked. I like that you had this idea. Ethan in Johto, Dawn in Sinnoh, they all stood toe-to-toe with gods, and it makes so much sense that these events haunt their dreams and change them.

You're a good writer, and this was a good read. A few missed words here and there, but otherwise well written.

Huinari chapter 1 . 12/7/2014
I love it. I absolutely love it.

More specifically, I love how the pressures of being expected to literally face down gods and save the region, if not the world, takes its tolls on even the most heroic and resilient of heroines. She has every right to be mad at the world for putting such expectations on her, yet the world really can't do much more than offer her what they can, which is basically next to nothing and some words.

And then there's your Archie and he's so awesome and I love Archie so huzzah!
