I think the way you've written them makes sense though. Of course Rukia would follow her duty, and work for the betterment of her clan. And of course Ichigo would have gotten a glimpse of her and only then decided to marry her.

I suppose that Rukia as a shinigami could be a guardian angle but I think in the canon conception the average shinigami feels no such strong positive emotions or drive to protect live humans.

I love the idea that someone's guardian angle could just be chilling in the flat next door to them though.

Based on some clues in the story I think that they are sisters (because Rukia cares so much about what she wants) and they are doing something that Hisana herself didn't get. I assume her marriage to Byakuya was a smaller, more hasty affair?

Who could Ichigo's EMT partner be? I think that Ishida would also go into the medical profession but I think it's more likely for him to become a surgeon or something than an EMT. Chad could be an EMT but he seems like he would want a quieter life.
