I disagree with the dude whose comment below, what makes Shirou and Rin relationship unique and real is that he wasn’t overly protective of her. Rin is a fine young woman who was raised to be a master in a war that ppl kill each other. She can deal a lot of stuffs that Shirou could not. So there’s no needs to make her a damsel in distress.

The real good dynamic is that when one of these two is being too caught up in the situation, the other one can help and make them stay to the ground and not be carried away. Like Rin tryna do with Shirou at the end of the route, or Shirou wanna tell her that she being a perfect magus is killing her true good natures.

And this fic shows THAT and keep the bittersweet moment between the couple in such a fine way through the reunion between Tohsakas Sister is what I love.

I love this fanfiction and Rin is my literal goddess so I’m a shirou/rin fag but one thing that I think should be handled better is their relation ship dynamic. Unlike in saber and Sakuras path shirou and rin are supposed have the dynamic of equals and banter. Shirou in the fate and heavens feel route e comes of as a nice guy that will do anything for them. Whit rin he supposed to show they are equals and not overly protective. I fell you wrote shirou to Prince Charmingish for how rin and shirou are supposed to love each other. It sorta creates the vibe that rin is helpless. Still rly loved the fic, rest job
