Yay I've been looking forward to this! All the signs were definitely there and Kev is smarter than a lot of people give him credit for. There are many types of "smart" and everyone on Shameless is smart in their own way, even Kev. I loved how he handled Mickey at the bar, "to butt buddies! Long may they slap!" He knows exactly how to handle Mickey. I think he kind of sees a little of himself in Mickey, the ability to come out of a shit situation a better man.
Kev is one of my favorite characters on the show. His love for Ethel and devotion to Vee, definitely not perfect but he tries his best and has a good heart. Beautiful one-shot.
