I'm not sure how to feel about this honestly. The writing's great and all, well the action scenes could use some minor work because they were a little confusing at times, but it's hard to deny that this has some very heavy influences from Gladiator. I haven't seen the movie in a long while and I can still see it. There are some minor differences though, so I'm not sure how I feel about it.

I love every historical periods you mentioned, so as far as I'm concerned, go on! (my preferences are the first and the third, tho)
I literally loved this story (lol, you already knew it!) and I have just one "objection" for you: wasn't it a little rushed? Cause i feel like you write all the story well and at the end you hurried!
E.g., Percy could've stayed thiinking about going to Heaven a little longer, couldn't he?
