This was a very interesting take on the Mirror if Erised. I really liked the way you wrote it and I can totally see your point in there being more to the mirror. It always did seem ridiculous that Remus would just forget something that happens every month for the last (almost?) thirty years, so you giving him a definitely distracting excuse actually fits perfectly in this scenario. Kudos.

Oh wow. That would be a good explanation for him looking at the map that night. I loved this. Remus' past showing through in what he most desired. The mirror showing him just what he needed for that to become true again.

This is wonderful and a little heart-breaking. You should continue with it for at least one more chapter. I'd love to see Remus and Sirius meeting maybe after the moon and Sirius's escape. I think you'd write a scene like that amazingly well. I'll follow if you decide to. :)
