its hard to put into words just how much the kaleidoscope series means to me. when I was a lonely, depressed 14 year old- who could barely will myself to not spend every day curled up in my bed, lights off as I stared at the wall- reading this story on LiveJournal was one of the few things I really invested myself in. I reread it about two years ago, and now I'm back at it again, and I still find myself viscerally feeling the raw emotion in this story, as well as the light and bright colors that tonks is and remus' warm smile and the expression he allows himself to show beyond the mask and how its a reminder that allowing yourself happiness and help from others is a way to keep going in spite of hardship and oh god do I love this story. thank you for writing it, putting it out there, and how it kept me going when I was 14 and how it has stuck with me so when I go back to reread it every couple of years I feel the words wash over me, so heart-wrenching yet so comforting, and yet the older I get, the more I appreciate it and I am gushing like crazy but thank you

This story is so good! I love the plot and in this fanfiction we can see what Renus and Tonks went through during the event of HBP. Again this story is amazing and I can't wait for part 3.

I really enjoyed this too and do hope eventually you'll post part 3. I don't think many people ever truly leave the HP fandoms, while they do get quieter there are always new readers and people do check back to see what new is out there even if only every several years. Thanks for writing this, it's lovely to see such a well written and in some ways unique take.

I used to read your stories aaaages ago, and I'm not sure what but something made me poke around the internet to see if I could find them again. And thankfully I did! I knew I had loved them, but I had forgotten just how perfect they are. Your characterisations are the absolute best! I particularly love the way you write Remus, Tonks and Sirius. Your vision, is now my vision. I really hope you find time to carry on posting every now and then, and I need to remember to check back way more often. I already read this chapter, but for some reason decided to read it again while re-reading another one. I had this thought the very first time I read it but couldn't articulate it clearly. The idea of Remus wanting to get drunk every Halloween all those 12 years seems a bit strange to me. I know it's a terrible loss, but the problem is that it seems like something Sirius, and not Remus, would do. I mean, Remus had enough time to deal with this, and getting drunk after a decade has passed seems a bit too much. What I find most fascinating about Remus is that he can accept the facts of life. He may not like them, but he survives by the sheer force of will and keeps going. Sirius, meanwhile, spent 13 years in prison so time as if stopped for him on that night so he is more likely to get drunk. I mention this because I think it's a key difference between these two characters- one of them had the advantage of time which,as sily as it sounds, helps to heal while the other spent half his life blaming himself for his friends' death. Remus might think about the past quite often, but the fact he gets drunk makes me think you portray him still stuck in the past,like Sirius was, and I just don't think their situations are identical. It's interesting that Remus misses Tonks more than his friends because she is still alive. This made me think he as if clings to her because she's the only one he has left. I don't know whether this was your intention, and I have somewhat mixed feelings about this interpretation I've just come up with. Though I suppose it's natural. I guess I just don't like the idea of missing someone because there's no one else left to miss.
