Hank1967 chapter 3 . 7/26/2019 Fun chapter! I like how you've got a unique twist on the marriage contract thing. I'm looking forward to seeing what's next! |
Hank1967 chapter 2 . 7/26/2019 Interesting twists... Funny seeing how Harry and Daphne first got together. Looking forward to seeing how you unwind that mess! Great job! |
Hank1967 chapter 1 . 7/26/2019 Off to an interesting start! I'm looking forward to seeing where you go with this! Great job giving Daphne's family a background. Love that detail! |
1529 chapter 3 . 7/17/2018 An interesting concept, but it's not very consistent. Harry knows that the Greengrasses did this on purpose and yet he seems to get nearly blindly follow whatever Daphne tells him. Overall, Harry's character needs more solidity... at the moment he doesn't seem to be real, his opinions seem to change from one paragraph to another and it's jarring to have the character act like a yoyo. I've got to say, I'm also not a big fan of the 'muggleborns are a threat because they don't innately know why we do what we do and treat us the way we wish to be treated' plot that seems to be so popular lately. I've seen the trope done well once or twice, but most authors don't put the work and background into the story to give a reason that wouldn't have been used to support slavery (they're obviously less human than we are), the holocaust (it's the fault of the Jews), the Russian annexation of Crimea (we owned this peninsula once)... There is definitely a good story in here, but whether or not it will actually be revealed is in question. |
xNaruHina chapter 2 . 11/4/2017 So Aiden Greengrass has no qualms about forcing marriage on Harry? Not even asking if he wants to be in this marriage at all? Daphne is already lying to her future husband? If she cannot even be honest with him before they marry than how does she expect to have any sort of trust between each other or be able to live a happy life? Daphne, who she herself did not want to be forced in marriage did not even have the decency to ask Harry if he wanted to be in a marriage before forcing it onto him? |
streefland chapter 3 . 8/18/2017 What a fantastic story to have stumbled upon. I very much enjoyed the first three chapters: the characterizations, the pacing, and the dialog in particular. Here's hoping that the story will continue! |
Arthorius chapter 3 . 5/30/2017 The way Harry is acting, is almost like Harry is a bigot only for the light side. Full of hatred against a house known for being dark. He must have forgotten what Pettigrew's House was. In non-magical United Kingdom if Harry were to act the same way toward any of the Lords or even the Queen, he would be thrown in prison after being charged with Treason against the Crown... Unless they changed the laws since 2000, insulting someone of Noble Birth in the non-magical UK is High Treason. |
hubriswriter chapter 3 . 4/30/2017 Why wouldn't Harry confront Dumbles about intercepting his mail from Gringotts? Dumbles openly admitted it during their meeting. Given Harry's rage at Dumbles just days before, his timidity was really out of character. |
