Spooths chapter 25 . 8/9/2017 You'd think Rose would've been prepared for this. She has known from the very beginning that this would happen. That it has to happen. And the fact that she almost tries to fight it, that she almost separates Charlie her lover from Charlie the mob boss, almost makes me angry. She's too forgiving of people. I guess this is still quite a bit before she ends up in Mercy at which point she's become much more cynical, but I still feel as though the whole prostitution thing would at least cause some anger towards Charlie in her. He is very clearly a bad person. And while he doesn't commit genocide on a regular basis like the Doctor, I wish Rose would hold him accountable at least internally. She fights with the Doctor when he crosses the line, yet she just ignores it when Charlie does. Oh Roes. You knew this was coming. You had time to prepare. FeelsBadMan. Oh but I can't help but sympathize with her. To know that a man you've fallen in love with has to be taken down because he is a bad man—it must hurt a lot. Ah well. She'll get over it lol. |
Spooths chapter 24 . 8/9/2017 I really hope that Rose visits that sheriff in the future in one of the last chapters of this story. That would be really satisfying. She shows up at his door when he's like 70 years old and tries to get that apology out of him. I really hope that happens. Cuz fuck that guy. |
Spooths chapter 1 . 8/7/2017 Wait, so does Rose still have her time vortex bad wolf powers? I don't remember her getting rid of them after chapter 21. I hope she still has them. It's always cool when she can occasionally just let that stuff out. And since it probably makes her friggin immortal that's doubly as cool. I wonder if it enhances her physical capabilities. Well, I'll have to see as I read on. It might not come into play in this Arc though, so who knows. |
DaniPopplers chapter 28 . 12/15/2015 I feel lik Taylor Swift read this story and wrote Wildest Dreams based on it. "He's so tall and handsome as hell. He's so bad but he does it so well. I can see the end as it begins. My one condition is say you'll remember me." "See me in hindsight, tangled up with you all night. Burning it down. Someday when you leave me, I'll keep these memories of you around." I had it stuck in my head reading it the entire time. I almost don't want to go back to the Doctor, I just want to enjoy her and Charlie longer! *almost* |
Dani chapter 28 . 12/13/2015 This is my favorite original story you've done with Hellingly coming in second. I'm so in love with Charlie and Rose. I cried, multiple times. Just bawled. Eve if I knew how it ended. I almost didn't want to get back to the Doctor, I just wanted to linger in their lives and love longer. Maybe in an alternate universe there's a Rose who tells him who she is, breaks him out/changes the future, and they live together forever. One can wish! The only thing I would even consider changing is for rose to have told him what she does or who she is. Before his death bed of course. I just want to know what that would look like, but I'm also so sold on the idea of Charlie wondering and missing her the rest of his days. *tear* |
amshelle chapter 28 . 5/28/2015 I haven't read your other stories yet, I had opened this one randomly before realizing it was a part of something greater. It's taken me a couple weeks to get through this and I have loved it all. It's a rich story and I felt ask the angst and love, right along with Rose. I'm excited to go back and start from the beginning to see how this fits in with your larger story. Thank you for writing it! It's been fabulous. |
Curry chapter 28 . 5/15/2015 Thank you for writing and sharing this story. As you know, I've really been enjoying this. Also excited to see how you wrap things up and to see the other stuff of you have in the works. |
Dreamcatcher56 chapter 28 . 5/14/2015 It is bitter sweet now that we near the end of this particular storyline...I enjoyed the way their relationship developed amongst everything going on in their personal life as well as in their own timeline but even more so I enjoyed the history lesson of sorts since I learned more about this period in history than I believe I ever knew before...thanks for sharing this and look forward to many more of your wonderful stories to come. |
Dreamcatcher56 chapter 27 . 5/13/2015 a well written update and a lot of wonderful insight into Charlie and Rose's six years together. |
LieselMargarite chapter 26 . 5/12/2015 Oh, Doctor. Shakes head... |
Dreamcatcher56 chapter 26 . 5/12/2015 Such an emotional goodby...bit heart broken for Rose, Charlie's Dove...so the mystery man behind the newspaper still does not understand why...well guessing who that mystery man might be, I don't expect he will ever understand and am not sure Rose would care if he did anyway. |
Dreamcatcher56 chapter 25 . 5/9/2015 Knew this was coming but held out hope for something you knew was impossible...six years, hard to believe that is the time since their adventure together started...hope Rose finds someone to talk to and starve off the loneliness and despair...well done capturing the emotions perfectly. |
Dreamcatcher56 chapter 24 . 4/26/2015 Its difficult for Rose to know she is going to lose him just like so many before but trying to hang onto every moment along the way...she has been good for Charlie as he has been good for Rose and she does not have any reason for regret other than the loss of another who she had grown to care for deeply. |
LieselMargarite chapter 23 . 4/20/2015 Have you seen the previews for AMC's "Making of the Mob"? It's all about Luciano's reorganization of the crime families. |
Curry chapter 23 . 4/11/2015 I have been enjoying this story immensely! Love all the background, character development and flow. You make this premise(which is a hard sell for me) very plausible in all the nuances. Thanks for sharing your creation inspired by 'Who.' Looking forward to the rest. PS to previous chapter content: Glad Rose is staying in touch with Jack (because that is good for both of them,) but playing things close to her vest. That being perforce the smart move for now - given her other choices. |
