Okay, this chapter will be hard to get past. No matter the circumstance, for Ruby to do something so incredibly out of character will be extremely difficult to overlook. The stuff with Adam was already weird, but Ruby's reaction here annihilated the immersion.

I liked the bit where Ruby tried to imitate Yang and Yang spotted it, then she followed by trying to briefly imitate Weiss.

I feel like your ability to write dialogue must have really improved because there are a lot of bits that feel clunky in this, while the discussions in your later story, Falling Roses Burn Brighter, flow a lot more smoothly.

That's an awkward way of phrasing it, given that most people hold that up as an admirable quality.

I'm not sure why you redid that scene, but without Ruby actually knocking over the Dust, Weiss comes off a bit snootier than in canon, even though she does less yelling. You actually have her say the words "I am very important", which I have no doubt canon Weiss thought at this time, but it feels like you're bludgeoning the audience over the head here.
