I love the connection between the line in ch. 7 of TNR and the last line in this ch.
"He wondered what dawn looked like with Caroline Forbes lying beside you."
"Klaus Mikaelson discovered what it felt like to sleep with her and, come morning, he would know exactly what dawn looked like from beside Caroline Forbes."

I love that. I love when that happens.

First of all, I have to say thank you for (updating and) deciding to finish this story before your retirement ️️ I didn't expect it at all but I’m so glad you've changed your mind! Now, you've managed to make sense of my jumbly thoughts before so fingers crossed you’ll have the same luck this time, too, lol.
While TFA is a continuation of TNR both fics seemed so different to me? TNR was full of phone calls and se- whoops! I toootally meant to write TExting - and they weren't together yet, with Caroline only almost! (‘Should I say it?’) admitting her feelings to Klaus towards the end of it, while TFA has its own immense charm with those two coming together and finally breathing the same air, staring at each other non-stop (plus tons of teasing ofc!)
But anyways, back to TFA! Soo, I definitely have a thing for person A checking out person B while he/she is sleeping, so Caroline staring at Klaus (while his face looks all sorts of cute, relaxed and peaceful) was much appreciated *giggles trying to picture the scene* Then, we have Caroline and Klaus thinking for a short while that their dreaming after waking up. It’s kind of cheesy? Yet at the same time it still gets me awww’ing nonetheless, you know? Another thing that gets me fangirling is when A gets all nervous thinking B might dislike something (aka the scene where Klaus got worried about Caroline’s reaction to the house and just starting ranting about it being barely habitable). Both thatt and the woodshed – sorry, woodHOUSE – most definitely had me drooling all over the place. Oh oh oh! Did I ever mention that Klaus’s eyes flashing gold when he gets turned on by Caroline has always been one of my favourite smut related things? And I can’t believe you’ve made Klaus run around in his house like a madman looking for Caroline. That was so hilarious!
And the sexting *melts* Ugghh I loved picturing Klaus so desperate for her, it was lots if fun to read! Another reason for me enjoying it so much was because it reminded me lots of TNR? The texting-each-other format, of it? So I saw it as a kind of tribute to TNR and I thought that was a super nice thing of you to do just before finishing up this story. You’re da best! *sends kisses your way*
Again, I loved all the references to TNR and (surprisingly) the tvd ones as well (I caught two of them; where there more?)? Every single time I saw one I started smiling like craze (and that one with Klaus stripping for Caroline *mumbles something incoherent*). While reading chapter 3 I was like, huh, okay this here is from chapter x, this is from chapter y, chapter z, then y again and so on I was jumping from one chapter to another, rereading them all. And how is it that you made a totally cheesy 'happily forever after' into something so much better? I have to say, I was a bit surprised they ended up in Tuscany, too. I mean, I was pretyyyy sure they wouldn’t end up in NOLA but Italy was definitely a pleasant surprise!

These were so good. I thought for sure the house was in New Orleans and when I read that part about the house on the hill, I just lost it. He built their house in Italy. He built something for them and no one else. I loved that she got to talk to her mom and tell her she's okay. I like that no one came looking for her. I'm glad before they got really serious that Klaus finally told her what he was dealing with in N.O. So glad she didn't hold that against him. Very happy that they both confessed their love for one another. So glad for once Caroline has FINALLY put her happiness above everything and that she has no regrets about being with Klaus. Awesome 4 chapters. Thanks for this sequel. Take some time from fan-fiction. We completely understand. Take Care!
