Two and Cent are my favorites, other than Zero. I seriously love them. That aside, you did really good! I enjoyed how you went about it, and how you laid it out. Thanks for writing this. :)

I feel your pain. They are my favorite characters, but the closest the game gives them a happy ending is when they die together. Of course Drakengard hates happy endings. And children. and elves.

Anyways I like the way Two and Cent were characterized here. They were the only Intoner/Disciple pair that had a healthy relationship.

You know there is something this story, the way it's told, actually reminds me of that I don't think I mentioned about the game itself. It's that the flow of events with Cent and Two throughout all the branches has this sense of progression, and even in a sad way acceptance that is taken a little farther each time. And of course this is especially notable in Cent's perspective given Two's condition.
This is indeed the last time you see them together in this world, and I don't know if you intended it or not, but the way Cent speaks also follows along, almost like his thoughts are having this progression of acceptance you see in the game. Which was really clever actually. And it does follow a realistic patter of descriptiveness for someone going through something difficult and how so much goes through your mind and there's the sense of focus that's intense, yet subtle in a way too.
I think it's a very good take on what he's actually thinking in those final moments.
It is almost oppressively sad when you really think about it though, that unyielding devotion and sense of loss that is so complete this really is the conclusion it comes to. They are in the end beautifully tragic, and that resonates strongly here.

This one...this one truly has taken me. You can really feel the emotion in Cent's monologue as he tries to stay strong for Two with what's happening, especially with the words you've used in this story. It offers a good sense of romance while still being dramatic, if I could have it my way in Drakengard 3, I would see to it that these two would have lived and not to suffer a fate like this, but that is just wishful thinking after all. I really enjoyed this one, it made me a little teary-eyed which is rare unless it's a well-written tale such as this. Excellent, I cannot wait for the next fanfic you'll write up next! D
