Shizuru in Otome has it so much easier than Fujino in Hime.
With the writers coming up with the whole, sex with males robs you of your powers thing they’re encouraging f/f relationships. Also, Viola’s an adult in Otome - Fujino’s still a teenager.
Fujino is basically a teenager living in a rather homophobic society who is gay and in love with her best friend, who doesn’t seem to feel the same way. And she also has to deal with the circumstances of the Carnival and the idea of losing Natsuki.
Considering attitudes like Haruka’s, with her homophobic rant at Shizuru, it’s not surprising she thinks her love is wrong. (Haruka and Nao are so much better in Otome)
And Shiznat is canon in Hime too, based on Natsuki’s Prelude and the official character book. They seem to be together in the tenth birthday special - Black Dance/Last Supper, too.
Viola is so incredible I just can’t believe how much they waste her and Natsuki in Otome. Especially when Arika, Queen whatsit and Nina are so inferior. They should have used the original Hime characters, imo.
Anyway, this chapter is excellent. Thank you for writing this story.

I started reading this a long time ago, and you can't imagine how estatic I am that you have come back to work on it. I am not a professional writer, but have been reading novels for over 50 years. I understand how important betas can be, but I feel you have done very well on your own with this chapter. These two ladies are very important characters to me and you have treated them well. RL has taken its toll on me and I find myself with much time to read and ff has been my go to read for the last few years, with a good yuri pairing my favorite since the dynamics seem to go so good together as they do with this pair and such pairs as NanoFate and Chikane x Himeko, Fandom unfortunately without much love these days. I miss these types of characters. Though RL can throw wrenches into our lives, I hope that you will continue to find time to write for Shizuru and Natsuki, they need your loving care. Thanks for all your hard work.
