In all likelihood, Kirito/Kazuto would most likely never fall in love again, and would likely not even be able to recover from his 2 year coma. He'd stay in the hospital forever. After all, remember his reaction to hearing Sugou's plan. He completely broke down, and it was only Suguha's intervention that finally managed to snap him out of it. If Asuna had died, rather than just remained in a coma, then it's very likely that Kirito would never recover. Also, he'd never dive into a virtual world again, as the only reason that he dove into ALO was to save Asuna. He didn't know that he'd be able to meet Yui again, as he didn't expect to keep all his stats and items from SAO. And he'd also never have become indebted to Kikuoka, as the only reason he cooperated with him in the first place was to learn where Asuna was. Also, even if he did cooperate with Kikuoka to learn where Asuna was, upon learning that she really is dead, he'd lose all his will to live, as he did when she died taking Heathcliff's blow. Also, he would never see the image of Asuna on the top of the World Tree, as she wouldn't be there to begin with, and wouldn't ever go to see Agil and get the game, never log on in the first place, and never find Kayaba's digital ghost and obtain The Seed. Even if he did somehow obtain the Seed, he'd never do anything with it, as he'd have no positive emotions for the virtual world, as the one true good thing that happened during SAO, which was him meeting Asuna, ended with her death in that world, completely negating the positive emotions created by their meeting, and replace them with even more negative emotions. So he'd have absolutely no desire to see the virtual world expand, especially not when it's something that Kayaba, the man who killed Asuna, both directly and indirectly, created. So GGO wouldn't exist in the first place, and Death Gun never would have been created, as Kyouji never would have wasted his stats on Agility due to XeXeed's "advice". So Kirito would never meet Sinon to begin with. This is all assuming he doesn't just outright kill himself, of course. Which is very likely to happen, considering just how much Asuna means/meant to him.

Keep this story create a different story with the same title or similar whatever you wish to, and rewrite the story, cause it's a shame for people like me who haven't been on this fandom for long see a good story be deleted and it would be a pain for new users skip all the legacy stuff thinking it was the story then a rewrite appears, it's better to have the rewrite as different story.

I would recommend leaving this as is and just creating a new story page for the remake, then you can add a chapter to this one once it's up so people can find it. That way people can also go back in this one and see how the original was looking compared to the new.

Don't delete the old story. It was good enough for people to follow.
And people may want to read while waiting for the rewrite to update.
Just make it new story to keep things organized.
Also, add a new chapter to this story when you post the rewrite for the notification. I don't follow authors, only stories.
This setting was pretty unique. I enjoy it when shounen MCs lose their plot armor and get punished for their recklessness. Especially when they have so much of it in canon.

I really want to see where you're planning to take the story. I know we haven't heard the last of Kayaba in this fic; after all, "in the virtual world, anything is possible" is a pretty ominous statement.

Are you planning on bringing back Asuna as a virtual entity? I can't say I've ever read a fanfiction do that before, it could have interesting ramifications, especially long term. I can't imagine Kayaba being a fan of re spawning, should she gain a second life in Alo.
