What I love about Emma is that when her powers started to peak, she didn't immediately become a Mary-Sue - instead it caused her to feel alone all again in spite of the people she has grown to love and care for. You honestly wonder just how she can be so committed to ensuring that everyone gets a happy ending when she's been through so much.
And I think this fic captures that excellently.

One question though: Just how common [was] magic in the Enchanted Forest? Snow's reaction suggests that either
a) Magic was rare, and people honestly didn't know what to do when it showed up (esp if your own child turned out to be magic-sensitive)
b) Magic was typically linked with villainy i.e, very few people used it for good
or
c) Magic does have an inherently evil nature behind it (I've heard Lana Parilla liken Regina to an addict in terms of how she uses magic)

I love the story so far and thank you for focusing on Snow White making her feel alone and not Snow White and David (to me David's face reflected pain from being hit more than it did fear so I think Snow should have said I messed up and not we). I can't wait to see your interpretation on how this is fixed since right now I see David, Killian, and Henry (maybe Elsa) actively going out to fix this when Snow is the one that needs to. I can't wait for more. Enjoy.

This story is just perfect. You really managed to get into Emma's head and none of what you wrote seemed unrealistic. Thank you for writing this because Snow's behavior really did need to be addressed.
