What Dumbledore and the Others have been doing with regards to the mail Of Harry and the Other Students is against the Law Both US and British. In fact, it is a felony to interfere with and keep the mail away from the addressee/recipient. Plus it is against the law to read another's mail without their permission no exceptions. The only one would be the person who has a power of attorney which lists such a task in the Document. Plus another note as someone who just so happens to be a guardian of someone Dumbledore is in violation of that and Harry's Privacy The Guardian has to tell their ward everything they can't withhold anything period. I am the Guardian of my younger Brother who has Autism and other Special needs because of other disabilities and health issues. He may be an adult but none the less because of cognitive processes are slow. My brother was moderate to severe by with help from A Doctor who practiced complementary medicine managed to my brother low high function with his autism. But yet he is still slow when it comes to his thought processes and trying to express himself unless it is something he is interested in.

Anyway, even though Harry is a minor The Headmaster has been violating Harry and all the other student's rights. Plus this bullshit with magical guardians is also in violation of the rights of that of the Parents. Plus parents are the only ones who have the right to appoint their children guardian as long as they have a will listing them or another legal document including a registers letter listing who they wanted for their children. The only time the government has any say is if the parents were negligent in having such documents or mentioning who they wanted while working to get such documents made up but we're not completed before their death.

Plus quite frankly Harry should have exploded a long time ago with the way people have been treating him and making decisions for him without his opinion or feeling being taken into account and sadly Dumbledore and to many in the Wizarding feel as if they have the right to tell Harry what to do and that he has no rights. You do and become what we want when you grow up it doesn't matter what you want to be when you grow up. Plus the fact that those assholes believe Harry has no rights to privacy.
