RA Heilein made a nice living writing short stories he later made completely connect in his future history time line. In fact he nice linked nearly all his fiction to the major Lazarus long fiction.

Harry is just too goddamned angsty and emo here, I can't get into this with all the self-hatred crap.

I've liked most of your one shots, haven't tried the amulet yet. I even like some parts of this fic, the portkey dart gun is especially cool and lethal.

But your Harry just jumped from 'what happened?' to 'I raped her and must run away!' too fast and is sticking to it WAY too heavily. Next he'll be cutting his wrists, wearing eye liner and all black clothes.
