Another amazing chapter! Melanie's interactions with Scott and Stiles are always hilarious to me. I can't wait to delve deeper into the Siren mystery (assuming that's what Melanie is) and see where all of that goes. Great work!

I really like this first chapter of the story! I agree that Erica deserved to have at least one friend to help her out with everything. I like Melanie so much! Her snarkiness, the sass, the bad bitch vibe I get from her. All work so well. Her relationship with Erica is super sweet and I love that I get the chance to see her and Isaac in season 1 thanks to you. If Boyd showed up as well, I might die of excitement. Melanie's relationship with Scott and Stiles is amazing as well, very hilarious and believable. This chapter is well-written and really fits Teen Wolf's vibe. I can't wait to see what happens next. Seriously great work!

The chapter may not be as much as your previous chapters, but I like how simple it was and told it’s story in the plot. Melanie is a character, I don’t see more of and how you allow her to make the impulsive decisions and the choices that the audience don’t like, as it makes her more human and a teenage girl to make the mistakes she makes. She was foolish enough to get herself captured by the hunters, but she was smart enough to see her best friend’s mother being sent to her, as she knew her parents will never allow her to walk into a dangerous situation all alone. Mel still has survivor’s guilt of her friend dying and being partly responsible for it, because of her siren abilities, she did not know she had as a child. Her guilt for what happened might haunt her later. I can’t wait to see Mel take Erica to the ball, and for them to officially become a couple. I’m glad to see this story being written, as I can’t wait to see how it will end and how Melanie will have learned through it all.

Omg sorry if this is weird but I randomly remembered reading this ages ago when I was like. A baby lesbian and had read basically nothing w gay girls before I was sooo excited for erica/mel! Anyways I decided to find it and reread and here I am I had a lot of fun reading this even tho I'm not super into tw anymore, u made me remember why I used to like it in the first place! Also thanks for contributing to my gay awakening in the past lmao

As a new reader, I was unsure when I began reading the story, as it also involves two characters, who I believe the show did no justice to at all. I’m glad to see Erica and Isaac written with more depth than most fics give them, and how they have become a part of Mel’s little trio, and I hope Boyd is included in it when she meets him in the future. It’s cool to see a different supernatural creature, like the siren being featured and it’s not one of the obvious ones, as it lends to a more original background for Melanie and her family as the story. It’s intriguing to see an OC that is a supernatural and mythology geek gets excited about her own discovery of being a part of that world at first, and then realises how much of a burden it is because of everything being a siren in tells. I was disturbed at the times when Peter would attack Mellie or when she was picking feathers from her own body, when she didn’t know what she was or when the hunters captured her for a night.

The friendship between Melanie and Erica is the heart of the story, including Isaac, but I’m glad you put in a lot of life into Erica’s character and giving her more of a story and fleshing her out. I like how the two are so close to each other, yet call each other out when they are doing wrong to each other, like when Erica develops her confidence to call out Melanie for infantilising her and not being able to make her own choices without the two most important people in her life worrying about her. I’m intrigued to see them become a canon couple, knowing Mel is bisexual and is starting to realise her feelings for Erica are not platonic and more towards romantic. I hope they make it to the endgame of the series.

I love Melanie’s relationship with Isaac, especially letting him stay at her house when he needed to get away from his abusive father. She may know his situation, but I’m glad she doesn’t push him too much and still treats him like her friend. As their relationship changes, will it become romantic and could there be a love triangle further through your series. I hope they and Erica are still friends.

The storyline surrounding the Crowe family is poignant, with the three of them being dragged in the middle of the mess the hunters and Peter have made in Beacons Hills and are looking for a solution to the problem, but Melanie’s idea might end up being the worst one, with untold consequences for her and her family and friends. With Melanie becoming a siren, it seems the parents have a reason for being over protective with her, as they already moved from a bad situation to land into another.

I love the friendship they have. The situation where they were both laughing and could only keep upright by using each other, reminds me of the times I did that with my friends. Amazing story overall and I'm eager to see what these ...dreams.. turn out to be!
