This... is too beautiful! I am both crying tears of joy and sadness. I can't even. I'm so glad they were able to fix things between them. I like eveything in this fic. I like the double meaning behind the chess pieces and Kuroko's head-on confrontation with Akashi. Also, the ending part; the dialogue between Akashi and Kuroko. For some reason, I can actually imagine this happening between them.

Thank you so much for writing this! Great job! _

Omg... you're also here... which means I'd probably read one story of yours that would make me addicted to a pairing that I haven't even thought of... hahaha

Anyway... I love this fic. :)

Surely Blue chapter 1 . 4/16/2015
As of now, Akashi/Furihata is my OTP for Kuroko no Basuke. I have been engaged in the fandom for less than a month, but, hey, I wear my fangirl badge with the utmost pride. I am not going to wage a losing battle against happiness - even more so when it is my own. Of course, that pairing of mine could be swayed to change; especially if I keep reading cute stories, like this one right here. The summary you placed on Ao3, I find that I like it quite a bit better. I suppose that is due to the limitations(?) FFNet has in regards to text. Ao3 offers more flexibility. The tagging system is a prime example of that virtue. On occasion, writers have let their enthusiasm get the better of them and have gone hog wild with tags. You picked the right amount and, as such, avoided the wall-o-text; a pedestrian pitfall.

Anyhow, I stumbled across your summary a few days ago and couldn’t resist the urge to click on the title and take a peek. Finally, I have time to leave a review. Well, Kuroko didn’t read the mood in the room at all. XD! I like the deadpan explanation he gave to his still-in-shock and bewildered teammates. Good ole Aida cut through the exasperation, adding the final and most salient input - "It's romantic, Kuroko-kun." With ease, the remaining two-thirds of the plot shifted into a different direction. Continuing with a solemn tone for Akashi (his topical regrets/misguided stances), reintroducing (a calm, yet inquiring) Kuroko, and moderating the way to an amusing end was cool.

*Favorite Lines*

"Kuroko-kun, are you serious?", asked the coach sharply, all up in his personal space.

Surely Kuroko had the shorter end of that stick by far, but still.

Like he didn't know that, like it didn't torment him already.

With a soft thump did the red queen find her place on the chessboard again, next to the red king.
Assasin8 chapter 1 . 3/18/2015
Awww, that's adorable! Kuroko was so sweet about that! And Akashi... Shockingly insecure after losing XD I loved the way you portrayed the characters, and I love how you used the double meaning with chess. Great job and thanks for posting!
