What a cliffhanger! Well if it wasn't Shadow or Sonic, then who could it be? Who indeed?! (I have a theory but I shall patiently wait to find out!) I love that you've got Maria involved in all of the adventuring. I adore the line "This is a Robotnik household, of course we do." I kind of want that on a button now, haha! Seeing Maria and Tails interacting is super wholesome too. I could see her being a good big sister role model for him. Looking forward to more, as always. Hope you're staying safe and sane during 2020.

Catching up on my reading and was happy to see some updates on this one! Fan fiction is keeping me alive in 2020, so thanks for continuing this story. I loved the Sex Ed section - I was laughing so hard - and seeing the bit with Sally and Shadow was really cute. Take care out there. 3

Uuuh, da hat Shadow aber nochmal Glück gehabt! Zum Glück war Maria zur Stelle um die Situation zu entschärfen, sonst wär ich mir tatsächlich nicht ganz sicher, wer in diesem Kampf die Überhand behalten hätte: Die Ultimative Lebensform, oder ein extrem zorniger, verzweifelter Fuchs ;P

Aber Spaß beiseite, fand es ne nette Abwechslung, dass der Konflikt nicht sinnlos eskalierte, sondern Tails tatsächlich überzeugt werden konnte, dass hier eine böse Verwechslung vorliegt. Zu oft wird das Klischee ausgeschöpft, dass frühere Gefährten sich wegen einem unglücklichen Missverständnis an die Gurgel springen, anstatt einfach mal die Situation in Ruhe zu bewerten und schlicht und einfach miteinander zu reden. Bin also ganz froh, wenn genau das in ner Story zur Abwechslung mal passiert und nicht vollkommen grundlos die Fetzen fliegen ;)
Maria sei Dank allerdings, ohne sie hätte es wohl höchstwahrscheinlich gekracht. Shadow ist sein Sturkopf und Tails war im Eifer der Situation zu wütend um klar zu denken, das hätte ohne ihren Einfluss also wohl nur auf eine Art enden können xP

Fand es sehr glaubwürdig geschrieben, wie sich im Rahmen ihrer Diskussion langsam aber sicher die Zweifel im Kopf des Fuches materialisierten und er schließlich eingesehen hatte, dass er mit seinem ersten Verdacht etwas voreilig gewesen war - so verständlich die Vermutung fairerweise wohl auch war. Zusätzlich fand ich es sehr passend, wie sehr er durch die plötzliche Verhaftung seines Bruders in Panik geraten ist, aber dennoch mit allen Mitteln versucht hat ihn sofort aus der Bresche zu helfen anstatt sich ausschließlich seiner Verzweiflung zu ergeben.

Jetzt sind wir also tatsächlich bei der Sonic Adventure 2-Adaption angekommen - inklusive einem potentiell "falschen" Shadow, scheinbar hatte ich mit meiner Vermutung wirklich recht, was das Geheimprojekt von Eggman angeht :D
Die Ereignisse rund um Sonics Flucht durch City Escape aus einer etwas anderen Perspektive zu erleben und all die witzigen Gags und Anspielungen zu entdecken die du reingestreut hast war sehr spaßig (insbesondere Shadows mehr als verständliche Reaktion auf den berühmt-berüchtigten GUN-Truck xP), aber leider wusste man ja, wie es letztendlich für Sonic ausgehen musste - interessante Änderung, dass er in deiner Version aber von seinem Angreifer tatsächlich KO geschlagen wird, anstatt einfach nur aus heiterem Himmel umzingelt zu werden, ein viel besseres Ende dieser wilden Jagd.

Bin schon sehr gespannt, ob es diesem Dreierteam nun gelingt Sonic aus Prison Island zu holen - und wie der blaue Igel auf seinen schwarzen Rivalen reagiert, er wird vermutlich nicht wissen, dass es sich bei seinem Angreifer nicht um das ihm bekannte Original gehandelt hat. Und was wird Shadow hinsichtlich seines möglichen Doppelgängers unternehmen, der ja ebenfalls droht den Deal mit GUN platzen zu lassen und damit seine Familie in Gefahr zu bringen? So viele spannende Situationen, so extrem amüsant der Schulalltag auch gewesen ist, freu ich mich jetzt sehr auf deine Version der Ereignisse rund um Adventure 2. Das nächste Kapitel kann gar nicht früh genug kommen :D

Seriously though, I love how you're dealing with the issues of discrimination between the Humans and Mobians. Your writing is some of (if not the) best I've seen and what I hope to be able to achieve someday.

Well this story just keeps getting better, that deescalation from last chapter was great. Good thing Maria was there to help, I don't want to think about what would have happened if it was just Shadow. Although this version does seem considerably 'tamer' than early canon Shadow I don't know if he's quite nice enough for Tails to be antagonizing just yet.

Of course you leave the reveal of the thief's identity as a cliffhanger, should have seen it coming. As for who I think it is, I'm placing my bet on Shadow clones, no-brainer right there. Of course there are other possibilities but given someones (Eggman) been collecting Shadow DNA a couple chapters back I doubt it's anything else. Though now that I think about it that kind of reveal is definitely worthy of it's own chapter, Shadow and Maria have just managed to convince Tails that they weren't involved and yet the video shows Shadows face on it. Can't wait. Also, with all the comments Shadows been making about his past with GUN I sense a big reveal coming within the next few chapters :D

This was, as usual, fantastic. I loved the bit about the GUN truck being standard operating procedure, and Tails and Maria working together was cute. Maria is a really positive influence here and it's nice. I'm curious to see how this plays it with how different things are in this AU. Sonic's cutting out dialogue sounded like the same dialogue as from SA2, which is interesting since he already knows Shadow in this AU (and even Silver, the only other hedgehog who could potentially be mistaken for him unless Scourge is somehow here?). I suspect something fishy is going on... This should be fun!

Woah. That's a relief to me that the trio in the courtyard started to work things out together... though I doubt which part will Maria take in this alternative SA2 plot , like Shadow's navi in ShTH or a playable charater in hero story? And to that nasty thief, picking up the hints that you placed in former chapters, I'm sure a UL/2-26 is around the corner...heh just joking, can't wait to read the next chap!

hook line and sinker, i am loving this. i am at the edge of my seat at the end of this chapter, i hit mine fricking gold, i should have commented on every chapter, i think i will do it later when i re read this but this is so far so amazing, and i am so happy i found this gold, no, dIAMOND! i cant wait to see more! thank you so much for making this story, i wouldnt have ever thought i would want this but you served it so well, like such a divine steak plate or divine vegan plate if youre vegan am no judge, am sorry i comment a lot honestly but this is the dead of the night and i feel like a drunk old man sitting in the meadows reading his favorite novel, am going to bed right now, but ill re read this gem later in the morning, so thank u so much.
