This was certainly an enjoyable read! I don't read much concerning the Founders, but you seemed to have woven enough canon information for me to actually see this happening. Is Kenneth the Bloody Baron? It seems I should brush up on my Hogwarts history ;)

I loved the part where Helena admitted that it was hard for her to leave Hogwarts with the diadem, but I loved the selflessness that she showed.

This brings to mind, "Nothing Left to Lose" by Mat Kearney. When Rowena "comes to" and realises what's happened, it's too late.
