There's nothing wrong with marrying young, and let's face it, BB and Raven are more mature than most people 10 years older than them. What I think is dumb is waiting until you're old to marry, because then you might have fertility issues and ... let's face it, why wouldn't you want to be with your true love ASAP?

Also, I seem to recall that the Beast only appeared to protect Raven: from Adonis, from the Titans (he was confused about that, but still protected her) and from Slade and the fire demons. I guess BB still fears the beast within.
