Oh man, this fanfiction just keeps on being amazing! I really love these new chapters :)
What I absolutely love about this specific chapter is the dialogue between Joe and Iris in the beginning - it really reminded me of Bowlby's and Ainsworth's Attachement Theory (basically meaning that it's very important for a healthy development of emotional and social skills to have a primary caregiver who acts as a 'secure base' for the child when he/she starts exploring the world around him/her) Joe is always there for his kids when they need him, but also is trying his best to give them more space to explore and deal with their problems on their own...
- sorry for the psycho-babble ; I just get very excited when I can apply something from my studies to the "real" (fictitious) world (and Attachement Theory has always interested me very much)
