The dialogue is so credible and genuine and I love how they maintain the formal terms of rank throughout. This is who they are! Mustang's confession of love and Hawkeye's response is just topped by "Is sex always on your mind, sir?" "No, just you." The progression of the action is well paced and very satisfying. You've wonderfully described the gentleness and tentativeness of Mustang's 'looking' as well as Hawkeye's 'trying to keep it together' responses. It's beautiful and honest and I love it. It flows as a super-plausible post canon development in their relationship. This is one of the all time best lovey-dubby fics and I thank you whole heartedly for writing and sharing it. Thank you! |
