karyn this was everything I wanted in a sirius and reg fic and I can't believe I didn't read it sooner.
this was a really good exploration of their relationship- their closeness but the underlying tensions and the path that reg is already veering off on, sirius' fear of losing him, were so well written into their dialogue and actions.
bby sirius asdlkjf he's so innocent and yet has already gone through too much, already fears his mother and distrusts bellatrix
and screw you for that last line I'm crying. but it's also so much deeper then simply being sad because the change in reg shown in just one line- as a kid he was self assured, the one leading sirius even though sirius wishes it was the other way around, but now he's lost wanting his older brother. basically I want to cuddle them both but I'll hug you instead, thanks again for this

I completely agree that that last line was just heartbreakingly perfect. Just like this story.

But then it's not all cuteness because Sirius is young but still too damn perceptive and this hurts me.

You had to have that last line, didn't you? Because that last line was heartbreakingly perfect.

Man, I really love the way that you write Regulus, and I'm not sure if I told you that before or not, but I really, really do. You manage to write him so perfectly. And this is just an example.

I love how you decided to make this when they were younger. It fits perfectly. It could just be a moment in their lives. I love that.

And I really love the relationship that Sirius and Regulus have here. This is before everything went wrong in their lives - Sirius becoming a Gryffindor. They were so close here, and I adore that because that is my headcanon. How do you always manage to write my headcanons without knowing it? (I'd say magic ;D)

I love how Sirius thinks that since Regulus didn't really want to go to Knockturn Alley in the first place, that would keep him from ever going back. Poor innocent Sirius. Now, can we talk about the fact that Regulus holds Sirius hand? Because that is amazing.
