I know its been a while since you've written and updated this story but I just finished it for the first time and I certainly hope you'll consider updating it. I've read enough stories where Ace or Marco are royalty and the main drama is that the other has to marry into royalty and produce and heir but I love how you've thrown that out that out the window and made Ace a strong good king who knows what its like to live as one of the people. The birds are utterly adorable together lol and I really think you could continue the story by Marco stopping those bird dealers.

So, this has been sitting in my inbox for forever waiting on me to review it (curse you school), and I am so sorry about that -_-

The good news was it was the perfect excuse to reread it, so yay! I no longer even remember what I told you I liked about this chapter, so hopefully I won't just be repeating myself...

The first thing that springs to mind is the part where Marco just slides himself in Ace's lap. I simply love that part. It has been making me almost giddy since this was still supposed to be a one shot and you'd written that part before accepting the reality of this story's length. It's almost always the other way around, and I feel like we all miss out so much. Seriously, by now I've probably read that scene a dozen times, and it still gets me everytime.

The introduction to the storyline... well I like it lots, but I really can't say too much in case other people read this. But yeah, it's awesome, and I can't wait to see it all unfold.

My favorite part of this story is probably how you can see how Marco and particularly Ace grow and change from being in love with each other. It really adds depth to their relationship, and I'd love to see that further explored because it just feels so real. Ace standing up to the councilmen more, Marco going from so bold to so nervous, it is just all so perfect.

It's really all just so perfect, and I hope my tags become true :P

And, ooooh, is Marco already the first consort? o3o Or the only consort, I guess... Honestly, I don't really know how this stuff works and was only trying to sound clever u-u'

Anyway, is it just me, or was Rouge a little jealous of Marco and Ace? :v Maybe now that they have Roger, she will warm up to Ace a little more? Or maybe not. Apparently the answer is no :v
I find it very ironic how Ace is closer to Roger than to Rouge XD even if it's about their bird-versions (?)

And of course the root of all evil is Blackbeard u-ú They haven't mentioned him yet on the plot, so Teach is not a part of the menagerie? But I guess that's the best explanation for how Lafitte knew who Marco was hmm

Oh well, at least those two are all happy and lovey-dovey for now :3 But... was it really a good ideia to just fall asleep in the open like that? Even if it's a secret spot... e-e

I love everything about this chapter! Ace is such a sweet, cutie patootie and Marco was a butt for having doubts, but hey, that's Marco. Gahh, you just write them so adorably! Can't wait for the next chapter!

Marco taking care and worrying about his animals is so cooool and adorable! All of the Whitebeard Pirates really seems like the kind that likes animals and knows how to deal with them :3
And he was jealous of Makino! That's so cute x3 I imagine how he will be when Luffy and/or Sabo decide to show up, if he ends up meeting them before knowing they're the brothers :o

Oh, and are the household the Dandan Family? o3o I imagine Ace simply deciding to forgive them for their crimes and inviting them all to go live in the castle too /o-o/ I also kind of expected Sabo to be there in some important position with some fancy title, since he is a noble and it would be a huge slap in the face to his family :v but I guess not taking the opportunity would be an even bigger slap in the face o-o
