This is charming, funny, and heartbreaking all at the same time. There is such honest and real love, here. More than simple affection or base lust. The scenes with Roland and Lilith really bring that to the fore, I think. And, they're great scenes. They have their own conflicts that rise to the surface (such self-centeredness tends to happen when people are conflicted about stuff), but there's always this quiet undercurrent of Brick's worries. It's very subtle and very realistic, not an easy scene to paint in a world as crazy as Borderlands tends to be.

Poor, sensitive Brick. I can completely understand Mordecai keeping up the joke - because it is a funny inside gag - but the resolution between them is so sweet, I have to forgive them both their close-lipped pride.
