god i love you and this and everything. but also i’d just like to tell you that being 8% cherokee isn’t really a big thing, like she still is very much predominantly white since race is based on how you present and that’s why having quote-unquote “western” features gives people privilege. so her being 8% cherokee is like being a 1/4 index card or something, i’m drunk right now. but god i loved this.

I'm on my second reading of this awesome story. I just finished it and had to start it again because I felt like I missed a bunch of details. For instance, it just occurred to me after reading again Bella's dream in this chapter that Edward was a monster to Bella in high school to the degree where she considered suicide, and them ending up as a couple ten years later has to be another Gothic horror theme. Because, what rational human being would date their tormentor? That's very Edgar Allen Poe. Bravo, author-self-insert!
