I miss getting updates from this story :( and I was so excited to see where it would go, too. I just reread it for like the 4th time. I would be willing to commission you if you ever felt like revisiting it.

Oh my gosh. Well, I have to say that this is without a doubt hands-down my favourite Kuroshitsuji fic I've read, period. Just, wow. There's so much I love about this.

First off, SomAgni. Like, it's so unfairly rare in fanfiction, since everyone's mooning over Sebastian/Ciel, which I admit I'm pretty ambivalent towards. But SomAgni is my OTP, and I thought that there weren't any long fics involving them at all. There's only a single fic of them that I actually /did/ like, and it was only maybe 1K. But then I found this, and it was a sucker punch to the gut made of pure happiness that left me grinning and giddy with anticipation at seeing what you came up with. And boy was it fantastic.

I love how you've written them. They feel so in-character, and I just am so happy with that, considering that many fics in this fandom are... well... not so in-character. So yeah, the quality of this fic is great. I absolutely adore the interactions between Soma and Agni, the care and affection they feel towards one another is so evident in their every action towards one another, and even though it's a shame that this isn't finished, I think the scene you ended it on leaves me satisfied enough with the two having made it clear how they feel towards one another. I also have to admire how you've written Soma, it's got such a sense of authenticity to it. I think a lot of people seem to view him as a bit dim or a bit too childish, but I feel like you really hit the sweet spot here. Even when he's more childish than normal, it's justified in that he's trying to ignore something more serious, or direct someone's attention elsewhere. He's still very sweet and earnest, and his self-consciousness regarding how those he cares about think of him is very appropriate, imo.

The plot is also interesting too, though I admit I'm still a bit more here for the character interactions. But I like seeing progress made with Agni's hand, with the implications that it's not just reverence of Soma as a saviour-figure that gives him his power, but deeper feelings of love and devotion. The idea of another demon being behind the house fires is intriguing too, I don't really understand what his motivations would be, but I guess it's a bit secondary to the character development. The part in the sewers did throw me for a loop a bit, was the "pet" in the sewers meant to be a distraction for Ciel to chase after, or something more insidious that would be unleashed after having fed on enough people?

I was also pleased to see Agni and Soma find out about Mina's death; I always wanted to see their reaction to that, and I don't think it's ever been shown in the manga (has it? I'm woefully behind on things). I think you definitely did the scene justice, and Ch 7 and 8 are some of my favourites, just for the angst and the tears and hugs and argghhhh it's so cute! XD

But yeah, suffice to say, this is definitely going on my favourites list, I can't thank you enough for writing such a wonderful story. I've actually been reading it over and over for the past two weeks, and haven't really had time to put all my thoughts down into a review. So yeah, thanks again for writing this, it's made me so happy. :)

This is a truely wonderful. In character, splendidly written. Captivating.

Well, I'm so glad I found a really great and pretty long fanfiction about Prince Soma and Agni ! ( To my mind, there is not enough :) ) You are true to the tempers of the original characters and I like the way you write especially action scenes. I appreciate the fact that the love between the Prince and the khansama works with unspoken words and little gestures. I love so much your Prince soma, he's so sweet and naive, but sometimes he acts without thinking like with the fire ( in my head I was like " Nooo, don't do that, please, it won't be good for you ! " XD ). The warnings of Ciel about homosexuality upsets me but I know it's the mentality of the century and he says that for the good of his friends, I don't want them either to be arrested ! Anyway, I hope Agni will be fine and I truly can't wait for the next chapter !
