McGonagall shows herself to be petty and small, which considering she acts a plot device in canon seems pretty accurate. Like this one.

Remus finds them and takes them to... Andromeda! While in a healing coma someone frames Sirius (Dumbledore) in order to get the hands on Harry. When they realise Sirius is being framed they go to Gringotts to get Sirius and the Potter Vaults and lock down (and transfered to a/other branches) where only the holder can enter. They also ask Gringotts to make them different identities. Hadrian Orion, Romulus Johann (Remus), and Canis Laelaps (Sirius) Peverell. They need to get out of Europe entirely. I'm a big fan of Harry going to the Japanese school but there's other countries to. America would probably be the best for hiding though.

I'd rather see/read Harry raised by Sirius than Harry and Sirius going through Canon hell.

I my world, Harry would be raised by Sirius. I just can't abide him being carted off to jail. Chances are better this wouldn't happen because Neville was the one that vanquished Voldemort, not Harry. So to reverse canon, Harry would be raised in the WW and Dumbledore would want to keep Sirius close so as to use his resources. And as a backup if his experiment with Neville fails.
