Oh all the wonderful feels in this story! The despair, the sadness, the love. That intuitive connection d'Artagnan had w/ Athos was so intriguing. A great great read!

Wow. That's strange, and mysterious, but Athos is alive, so I can't complain about anything right now. He was going to die, but now he's alive.

Gorgeous story. Brilliant. Emotional. Beautifully written, and even with a hint of magic or otherworldly intervention, so completely believable in both context and character. A glorious read.

You really do dive straight into it, having us dreading straight up that nothing is well! Evil! I love how you connected the two of them, Athos and d’Artagnan, by the way d’Art could feel his pain, and the spot on his chest. That’s such a cool idea! If you get ideas like this while sleeping, you definitely need to sleep more! Just saying ;)

The wavering back to Lupiac is great, what a brave little lad he is! And we have that courage to thank I presume, seing as it saved the woman and she put some magic spell on him, lol! I love it! And aw, how it didn’t work for his father is just heartbreaking, but I do understand why it didn’t work! He wouldn’t have met his brothers! And we are so happy that he did, even if it’s sad him losing his father. Wonderfully written!

LOL I bet they are confused! But I don’t think they should overthink it, just be happy the boon worked. Some things are not meant to be dwelled upon, just enjoy the ride :D

And just finishing it off with that scene between them, where d’Art shows the bruise, that is just heartbreakingly awesome. Like so freakishly great! And Athos is alive! Pheeeeeewwwww! :D
